Pescatori and Ross Chop a Monster Pot

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Max Pescatori: {x-}{x-} / {8-Hearts}{a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{j-Hearts} / {x-}
Erik Seidel: {x-}{x-} / {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} (folds on fifth)
Mike Matusow: {x-}{x-} / {2-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} / {x-}
Michael Ross: {x-}{x-} / {5-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {x-}

Michael Ross completed with a five showing and Max Pescatori called. Erik Seidel three-bet which brought Mike Matusow along as well. Ross and Pescatori both called. On fourth, the action checked to Ross who tossed in a bet and all three players called.

The action ramped up on fifth as Matusow was the first to throw in a bet. Ross just called and Pescatori check-raised. Seidel thought for a good minute before getting out of the way. Matusow three-bet, Ross four-bet, and Pescatori capped the action, with both players calling.

On sixth, Matusow picked up the betting lead but slowed down. He checked to Ross who threw in a bet and Pescatori raised. Matusow called only to have Ross three-bet and Pescatori four-bet. Matusow called again and Ross capped the action with both players calling.

With nearly 80,000 chips in the pot already, Matusow checked on seventh. Ross bet and Pescatori raised. Matusow shook his head as his cards went to the muck. With the action heads-up now, Ross just called and tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for a seven low. Pescatori showed {q-Spades}{10-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for a flush and the two chopped the pot.

"I have a made eight and open-ended straight draw," Matusow noted, referring to {4-}{3-} in the hole. "You somehow put in twelve thousand twice with just a seven low," Matusow turned his banter toward Ross.

A Surprise for Lisandro

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Mark Gregorich: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{k-Clubs} / {x-}
Jeff Lisandro: {x-}{x-} / {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs} / {x-}
Mike Leah: {x-}{x-} / {9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} / {x-}

Mike Leah limped in with a nine and Mark Gregorich completed with a five. Jeff Lisandro came along and Leah called. Gregorich led out on fourth and fifth and was called by Lisandro and Leah both times.

The action checked around on sixth and Gregorich checked one more time on seventh. Lisandro peeled his card and tapped the table and Leah did the same.

"That's all I have," Gregorich said pointing to his board. Lisandro flipped over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for just a pair of queens. Leah looked back at his cards and couldn't find the hand to beat it and eventually sent them to the muck.

"Bet you didn't see that coming," someone said to Lisandro. He looked as surprised as anyone to be scooping the pot.

Frazin Gets a Big Scoop

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Owais Ahmed, Phil Hui, and Tim Frazin all put in multiple bets on third street.

Tim Frazin: {x-}{x-}/{J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}/{x-}
Owais Ahmed: {x-}{x-}/{5-Spades}{J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{4-Spades}/{x-}
Phil Hui: {x-}{x-}/{K-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}/{x-}

Action checked through to sixth street where action checked to Frazin. He put out a bet and both players called.

On seventh, action checked to Frazin again and he bet again. This time only Hui called, but he mucked when Frazin showed {2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for the flush.

"I started with ace-deuce-five all diamonds," Frazin said. "It's the best hand I've seen all day and I'm on tilt."

"You started with jack-five-deuce," Ahmed said which prompted some laughter from the table.

Kurtzman Triples

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Eric Kurtzman was involved in a hand with John Racener and one other player on fifth street. Kurtzman moved all in as the first player to act and Racener called. The other player in the hand folded so Kurtzman and Racener turned up their hands.

Eric Kurtzman: {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}/{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}
John Racener: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}/{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Kurtzman had a pair of threes and a draw to the nut low while Racener had a pair of kings and was currently in the lead. Here's how their hands ran out:

Eric Kurtzman: {3-Spades}{2-Clubs}/{A-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}/{A-Diamonds}
John Racener: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}/{8-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}/{9-Diamonds}

Racener ended up with just his pair of kings while Kurtzman made three pair, but no low. His aces and threes were good enough to scoop the pot and he earned a near-triple-up back to around 12,000 chips.

Ace High Won't Cut It for Ross

Niveau 5 : 1,200/2,400, 300 ante

Max Pescatori and Michael Ross are a couple of the newest additions to the field and they got involved in a hand right away.

Max Pescatori: {x-}{x-} / {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} / {x-}
Michael Ross: {x-}{x-} / {2-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Spades}{j-Clubs} / {x-}

Pescatori led out on fourth street and Ross made it two bets.

"I can't see, is that seven-deuce you have?" Pescatori asked from across the table. It was confirmed and Pescatori questioned Ross' play. "Why are you raising, then?"

Pescatori check-called a bet from Ross on fifth and the two players checked both sixth and seventh. Ross flashed {a-}{q-}{5-} for just ace high and no low while Pescatori raked in the pot with {a-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} for a pair of eights.

Frazin Goes Down to Back-to-Back Full Houses

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

We arrived at the table to see Phil Hui turn over sixes full of fours after making a bet on seventh street. Timothy Frazin called and stood up to examine Hui's hand from across the table.

"I can beat that," he said but threw his cards face down to the muck.

In the next hand, Adam Friedman completed and Frazin three-bet, stating he was now on tilt.

"I haven't seen you fold a hand yet," Friedman said as he called.

"Well once I'm in, I'm in," Frazin responded.

"I've seen that," Friedman added as the two players played the hand heads-up.

Timothy Frazin: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} / {x-}
Adam Friedman: {x-}{x-} / {3-Clubs}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} / {x-}

Friedman check-called a bet on fourth and fifth and then led out on sixth and seventh after showing a pair of threes. Frazin called both times and Friedman tabled {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} for a full house. Frazin's cards hit the muck again as he continued to stew in his seat.
