Frankenberger Fires Twice

Niveau 6 : 150/300, 50 ante

Andy Frankenberger bet 1,025 from the small blind on a {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs} board a player in middle position called.

The river brought the {2-Hearts} and Frankenberger bet again, 1,800 this time. After brief consideration, the middle-position player folded, and the two-time bracelet winner took the pot.

There are nearly as many bracelets as players on Frankenberger's table; five of them belong to Allen Cunningham, who is seated a few spots to Frankenberger's left.

Clinkscales Bluffs It Off

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

There were about 2,000 chips in the pot and the board read {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} when we got to the table. Rex Clinkscales was under the gun and facing a decision for 700 from the player on the button. Clinkscales called.

The {8-Hearts} hit the river and Clinkscales shoved for just over 5,000. The button quickly called, Clinkscales tabled {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}, and his opponent showed {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds} to take the pot and leave Clinkscales with less than one big blind.

Taylor Loses a Flip

Niveau 5 : 100/200, 25 ante

Esther Taylor had shoved for 2,575 and been called by a player in late middle position when we got to the table.

Esther Taylor: {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}
Opponent: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The two players were racing for the pot and Taylor was the one who needed to improve. Her opponent extended his lead on the {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, the {9-Clubs} turn and {6-Hearts} river were no help to Taylor, and her opponent took the pot to stack her.

Kessler's Kings Hold

Niveau 4 : 75/150, 25 ante

All the chips were already in the middle and the cards were on their backs when we got to the table. Allen Kessler was in the small blind and had gotten stacks in with Phil Laak, who was in the hijack; Kessler had the larger of the two stacks.

Allen Kessler: {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs}
Phil Laak: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

Kessler had a commanding lead with his kings and Laak was in big trouble. The board ran out {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Kessler's hand held up to win the pot and stack Laak.
