Also featuring in-the-money included Valentin Vornicu, Mike Matusow, Dmitry Chop, Don Zewin, Brandon Cantu, Shaun Deeb, Mark Gregorich, John Cernuto, Scotty Nguyen, Josh Arieh, Jason Mericer, and recently crowned 15-time WSOP winner Phil Hellmuth.

Players will begin with 15,000 in starting chips and be playing ten 60-minute levels today. Late registration is open through eight levels and will close at approximately midnight tonight.

Play will be underway at 3 p.m. (PDT) with the PokerNews Live Reporting Team providing continuous live updates of all the Event 76 action. So stay tuned right here to PokerNews.com for everything from Event 76, as well as continued coverage of the 2018 WSOP.

Lisandro Takes an Early Hit

Niveau 1 : 150/300, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

Eddie Blumenthal from the button, Jeff Lisandro from the small blind, and the big blind all committed 300 preflop to see the dealer spread a {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop.

Lisandro checked, the big blind bet out 150, and Blumenthal folded as Lisandro called.

The turn fell the {6-Spades} and Lisandro check-called 300 as both players checked the {J-Clubs} on the river.

The big blind tabled his {Q-Spades}{J-Spades}{8-Spades}{2-Spades} for two-pair, and Lisandro mucked.

Friedman and Gerhart Chop

Niveau 1 : 150/300, 0 ante

Omaha Hi-Lo

The action folded to the button, and he raised to 300. Perry Friedman called in the small blind, and Kevin Gerhart came along from the big blind.

The flop landed {4-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} and Friedman led out for 150 and both Gerhart and the button called as the turn landed the {4-Clubs} and Friedman led again.

Gerhart called, but the button folded as the river fell the {8-Diamonds} and Friedman bet 300, and Gerhart called.

Friedman tabled his {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{5-Spades} for the second nut low, while Gerhart revealed his {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{2-Spades} for the high, and the pot was chopped up.
