Event #77: $50,000 No-Limit Hold'em High Roller
Jour 1 a débuté
There have been plenty of new events at this year's World Series of Poker, but none more eye-catching than Event #77: $50,000 High Roller, which includes both shot clocks and a big blind ante.
It's the way of the world these days, with more and more High Roller tournaments adopting this format, and now it comes to the WSOP, arguably the biggest stage poker has to offer.
The $50,000 buy-in is by no means the biggest buy-in No-Limit Hold'em tournament at this year's WSOP, with Nick Petrangelo winning the $100,000 High Roller earlier this summer, and the hotly anticipated $1,000,000 Big One for One Drop coming up in a couple of days time, but this brand new price point is sure to attract some of poker's biggest stars.
The action gets underway at 3 p.m. local time, with 14 levels to be played. Levels are 40 minutes long, and there will be a 15-minute break every three levels.
There will also be a 60-minute dinner break after Level 8 (~8:50 p.m.) and late registration is open for 11 levels (~12:05 a.m.)
Stay tuned to PokerNews to see what kind of names decide to jump in the penultimate bracelet event of the summer!
