Seiver's Only Superstition

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Luis Velador raised and Scott Seiver three-bet on the button. Velador called and each player took a card. Velador check-called and they both took a card again. This time, Velador came out betting. Seiver called and drew a final time after Velador patted.

The end checked through and Velador showed {6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{a-}. Seiver mucked with a sigh.

"That's the only thing I'm superstitious about in poker," Seiver said. "Starting with ace-two-three-four in ace-to-five."

Vitch Earns Two Calls with Number Three

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Chris Vitch boomeranged back from crumbs and now he's back to where he's comfortable, at the chip lead, as he significantly improved his stack in the following hand:

Vitch raised and Luis Velador called on the button. Scott Seiver called out of the big blind and drew one while Vitch and Velador both took two.

Action checked to Velador who fired and received two calls. A one-two-and-one sequence followed and Velador bet again after they'd checked to him.

All three drew one on the last draw and Seiver and Vitch again checked to Velador. He fired one more time, earning a call from Seiver but Vitch placed in a raise. Velador fairly quickly called and Seiver was surprised.

He said he thought he was 80-percent to win the hand but things suddenly changed. In the end, he still couldn't make a fold and called.

"Number three," Vitch said, opening his {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}, earning a giant pot to vault to the top.

Vitch Gets Value from Wheel

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Three-way on the second draw, Luis Velador changed one, Scott Seiver two, and Chris Vitch needed one.

Velador led out and Seiver folded but he couldn't get rid of Vitch.

Velador stood pat on the last draw while Vitch still wanted to change one. Nonetheless, Velador checked to his opponent. Vitch bet and earned the call he wanted as he immediately announced "wheel," turning up his {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}.

Damjan Radanov Eliminated in 8th Place ($16,025)

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante
Damjan Radanov
Damjan Radanov

2-7 Triple Draw

Damjan Radanov was mostly watching how Luis Velador and Scott Seiver continue trading blows but he had to make his move when he was down to just 25,000.

Radanov raised, Velador isolated, and Seiver came along. Velador discarded two, Seiver three, and Radanov wanted to improved two of his cards.

Velador was betting in the side pot and Seiver called. Velador then patted and Seiver took two. Radanov changed one.

Seiver called another bet so they were still three-way to the last draw where Velador patted while Seiver and Radanov both drew one.

Velador checked this time and Seiver knuckled back, allowing the showdown. Velador opened {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{3-} to eliminate Radanov as both other hands ended face down in the muck.

Vitch on the Comeback

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Chris Vitch raised on the button and George Trigeorgis reraised in the small blind. Vitch called and took two after Trigeorgis drew one. Trigeorgis bet and Vitch called. Both drew one. Trigeorgis checked, Vitch bet, and Trigeorgis raised. Vitch took some time and counted down his stack, then called. Both players patted.

Trigeorgis eyed Vitch for a bit and checked. Vitch checked back.

"I have a nine," Trigeorgis said with a sigh.

"I have you beat," Vitch said, waiting to open until he saw Trigeorgis' hand, which looked to be a nine-eight.

Vitch showed {7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}{a-}.

Becker Doubles

Niveau 24 : 20,000/40,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Johannes Becker must have lost a huge pot as he was down to just a few bets. He three-bet from the button when Alex Simma raised and Simma called. Both players took two and Simma bet. Becker raised all in and Simma called. Simma drew twice more, one card each time, while Becker patted through.

The German rolled over an eight-perfect but Simma had a live draw to a seven-six. He turned over paint and Becker doubled.
