Good Fold for Chow

Niveau 13 : 2,000/4,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Michael Chow bet from the small blind and Shaun Deeb was on the button and raised. There were no more cards to come and Chow had only about 12,000 left. He thought a bit and folded, and Deeb patted the table.

"Good fold," he said, throwing {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} into the middle.

Fantastic Two Levels for Shak

Niveau 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante
Dan Shak
Dan Shak

2-7 Triple Draw

The first two levels have seen Dan Shak more than double his stack. Shak came back to 48,100 but now he's sitting on 115,000.

He just added another hefty pot with three-way action caught after the last draw. Gerald Ringe checked and Mike Leah fired a bet. Shak instantly called and Ringe laid his hand down.

Leah turned up a busted {8-}{8-}{X-}{X-}{X-} and Shak claimed the pot with {10-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-}.

"You made me break a nine," Shak said to Leah. But it didn't matter eventually as Shak was still able to find a way to win after drawing a worse hand than a nine.

Martin Survives

Niveau 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Jesse Martin moved in for his last 1,900 on the end and Brian Hastings called. Martin turned over {8-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{2-} and Hastings mucked, so the defending champ stayed alive.

Obst Doesn't Miss an Ounce of Value

James Obst
James Obst

Badugi

James Obst defended big blind against a raise from Chris Ferguson. Obst drew one on each draw while Ferguson kept drawing two. Obst led out on every street including the river and Ferguson called him down.

After getting called on the river, Obst showed {10-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} and Ferguson nodded with the sign of defeat. Obst took down a decent pot with his three-card badugi, getting the maximum value from his opponent.

Becker Over Ferguson

Niveau 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

After the second draw, Chris Ferguson checked and called a bet from Johannes Becker, who was under the gun. Ferguson took a card and Becker stayed pat. The end checked through and Ferguson had made a strong jack with {j-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, however, Becker had it beat with a rough nine: {9-}{8-}{7-}{4-}{3-}.

Seiver's Ten-Eight is Good

Scott Seiver
Scott Seiver

2-7 Triple Draw

Scott Seiver was in position, battling big blind Timothy Mcdermott in a single-raised pot.

Both players drew two and Mcdermott led out. Seiver stuck around with a call.

The second draw saw Mcdermott and Seiver change one each and Mcdermott check-called this time.

Mcdermott again took one again while Seiver patted. No bets were made in the last round and Seiver took it with his ten-eight.

Wilkinson Doubles Rodriguez

Niveau 12 : 1,500/3,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Carlos Rodriguez was all in and drawing against Wil Wilkinson, who also needed a card on the final pull. Both players turned cards over, and Rodriguez didn't like what he saw as his {8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} was inferior to the {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts} three-card of Wilkinson.

Wilkinson showed first and had the {k-Hearts}, meaning Rodriguez was live if he could find some help. He did so with the {10-Diamonds}, making a badugi for the double.
