Kitai Continues His Good Start

Niveau 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

The action was opened with a raise to 350 by the player under the gun, and Davidi Kitai called in middle position before Justin Bond, in the hijack, three-bet to 1,550. The initial raiser folded and Kitai called.

On the {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop, Kitai check-called a 1,000 bet from Bond and on the {3-Hearts} turn both players checked.

The river came the {8-Hearts}, and Kitai check-called a 2,400 bet. Bond tabled {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for ace-high, and Kitai took the pot with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Moreira de Melo and Arai Chop

Niveau 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

Fatima Moreira de Melo sat down in the Main Event and is already battling for pots. She checked it down with her opponent Masatoshi Arai, and when the {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board was on the table.

Arai showed {Q-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. Moreira de Melo showed {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and tried to claim the pot by joking that her hand was suited, which caused the table to laugh.

Sotiropoulos on Heaps Right Away

Niveau 1 : 75/150, 0 ante

Georgios Sotiropoulos was first to act in a battle of the blinds and had built a pot of about 47,000 with his opponent. The board read {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} and Sotiropoulos was deep in the tank when we arrived. After staring at Brady Hinnegan for a couple of minutes, Sotiropoulos bet 14,000. Hinnegan didn't take long to call, but when he did, Sotiropoulos revealed {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for trips and dragged a massive early pot.
