The player in early position raised to 1,500. The player in middle position three-bet shoved for 13,200. Raymond Chan, in the small blind, reshoved for 14,800.
Raymond Chan:
Opponent::
The runout was and Chan took down the pot, sending his opponent to the exit.
The defending champion Mike Takayama has now taken a seat. Takayama took down the tournament last year for $198,568 and a prestigious WSOP bracelet, the first of any Philipino to do so.
The flop was showing and the pot was around 2,500. Brock Wilson tapped the table and a player in the hijack bet 2,300. The cutoff opponent pushed all in for a stack of 11,400 and Wilson instantly check-raised over the top for 23,300 effective.
The hijack player folded and the two remaining turned over their hands. Wilson tabled for a flush draw and the cutoff showed for a lower flush draw.
A landed on the turn and Wilson now had his opponent drawing dead to the meaningless on the river. Wilson took down the pot, sending home one in the process.
