Campbell Scoops Ahmed; Guagenti Takes From Mizrachi

Niveau 23 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Robert Campbell
Robert Campbell

Owais Ahmed and Robert Campbell clashed in a battle of the blinds and Ahmed check-called all the way on a board of {j-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}. The final river bet he called reluctantly and Campbell showed {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts} for a pair and a low to scoop the pot.

Soon after, the two big stacks got involved in a pot and Nick Guagenti took a pot off Robert Mizrachi with aces up on a {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} board to almost close the gap to Mizrachi.

O'Dell Gets Quartered

Niveau 23 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Robert Campbell raised to 120,000 from the cutoff and Frankie O'Dell responded with a three-bet from the button. Both blinds folded and the flop came down {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}.

Both players checked and then Campbell check-called a bet of 120,000 on the {10-Clubs} turn.

Campbell turned around and led out for 120,000 on the {7-Hearts} river and O'Dell called.

Campbell: {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Spades}
O'Dell: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}

Both players had the nut low while Campbell had the better pair for the high and three-quarters of the pot.

O'Dell's downslide continues after getting scooped not long ago.

O'Dell Quarters Guagenti

Niveau 23 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Owais Ahmed raised from the cutoff and Frankie O'Dell called in the small blind, Nick Guagenti came along from the big blind. The flop came {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and O'Dell checked, Guagenti bet and Ahmed folded while O'Dell called.

After the {4-Spades} turn, O'Dell check-raised and Guagenti made it three bets to pick up a call by O'Dell. The river was the {2-Hearts} and O'Dell bet and called all in for 40,000.

O'Dell: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}
Guagenti: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

Both players had an eight-high straight for the high while O'Dell had the nut low to claim three-quarters of the pot.

Jake Schwartz Eliminated in 6th Place ($76,456)

Niveau 23 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante
Jake Schwartz
Jake Schwartz

Jake Schwartz raised the button to 120,000 and Robert Campbell defended from the big blind to see a {7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} flop.

Campbell bet 60,000, Schwartz raised to 120,000, and Campbell popped it. Schwartz called off the 10,000 he had back and the hands were turned up.

Campbell: {k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Schwartz: {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

Campbell was ahead with a pair of kings but Schwartz had a double gutter. The {j-Hearts} turn improved Campbell to trips and took away eights as an option for Schwartz, as that card would fill up Campbell.

The dealer burned one last time and put out the {6-Hearts} on the river. Schwartz missed and was the first player eliminated from the feature table.

Guagenti Wins a Big One

Niveau 23 : 60,000/120,000, 0 ante

Jake Schwartz raised and was called two ways by Frankie O'Dell in the small blind and Nick Guagenti in the big blind. O'Dell check-raised the {10-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop and was called both ways before the {j-Diamonds} turn brought a bet by O'Dell and a raise by Guagenti. Schwartz folded and O'Dell called.

On the {6-Spades} river, both remaining players checked and Guagenti won the pot after tabling the {j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs} for a set, which bested O'Dell's {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{10-Clubs}.

In the first hand of the six-handed final table, Jake Schwartz raised the button to 120,000 only to have Owais Ahmed three-bet to 180,000 from the small blind. Schwartz called and the flop fell {j-Hearts}{k-Spades}{3-Diamonds}.

Ahmed bet 60,000, Schwartz called, and the dealer burned and turned the {3-Hearts}.

Ahmed bet again, this time 120,000, and Schwartz released his hand.
