Lost Player Finds His Way Home

Niveau 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

The announcement came from the raised podium in the middle of the Pavilion Room.

Coming back from the break, a man in a green shirt had forgotten what table he was at, which is easy to do in a cavernous space with more than 100 tables and 1,000 poker players. His table mates immediately recognized him, however, and waved him over to his waiting stack of 120,000 chips.

The Pavilion Room applauded, and this once-lost grinder is back in the game.

Double Up for Aoki

Niveau 16 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

A player shoved all in and it folded to Mikiyo Aoki who reshoved for a remaining stack around 125,000.

Holding {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}, Aoki was in good shape for a double up, facing {10-Clubs}{j-Clubs} in her opponent's hand. The board fell {q-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Spades}{8-Hearts}, giving all sorts of draws to Aoki's opponent by the turn, but faded to win with a set of queens and eliminated her opponent from the event.

Sinclair Sits Down and Starts Going to Work

Niveau 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Jack Sinclair got a new table assignment and began asserting himself right away.

The 2018 WSOP Europe Main Event winner was in the big blind, with Melanie Weisner limping on the small blind. Sinclair raised to 14,000, and Weisner three-bet to 49,000, getting the call from Sinclair.

The flop came {6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Hearts}, Weisner checked, and Sinclair fired for 25,000, with Weisner calling. The turn came {2-Hearts} and the action checked through.

The river brought the {9-Hearts}, Weisner checked and Sinclair bet 100,000, enough to put Weisner all-in. Weisner tanked for a while and decided to shut it down, preserving her remaining 100,000 stack.
