Ferguson Takes a Hit

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Heads up from the off, James Maguire showed {x-}{x-}/{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Chris Ferguson {x-}{x-}/{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Maguire bet, Ferguson called. An {a-Hearts} for Ferguson, a {4-Diamonds} for Maguire. Furguson led out, Maguire raised, and Ferguson called. Ferguson picked up the {4-Spades}, Maguire the {8-Spades} for a pair of eights showing, the latter betting, the former making the call.

Ferguson: {x-}{x-}/{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Spades}/{x-}
Maguire: {x-}{x-}/{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Spades}/{x-}.

A seventh-street bet from Maguire got a fold from Ferguson.

Aces Up Save Lazarou

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

It's not been a good first level for Vasili Lazarou. Down from 20,900 at start of play, he found himself all in for just a couple of thousand against Scott Niebling. Cards were all up as Lazarou was all-in, and his two pair was ahead, one card to come:

Lazarou: {a-}{a-}{3-}{k-}{3-}{2-} (no flush draw)
Niebling: {3-}{9-}{k-}{k-}{10-}{10-} (no flush draw).

The crucial seventh street came down, a {9-Hearts} for Niebling and a {4-Diamonds} for Lazarou: no change. The latter is still in, still very short.

Gaspard Going Up

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Jean Gaspard is at the 50,000-chip mark and Jacob Brundage is barely hanging on.

Jean Gaspard: {x-}{x-}/{7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs}/{x-}
Jacob Brundage: {x-}{x-}/{10-Spades}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}/{x-}

Brundage fired a sixth-street bet and Gaspard called, and the action checked through on the river. Gaspard showed the {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{k-Spades}, and Brundage mucked, and is down to 3200 chips.

Mountain of Chips

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Joshua Mountain started the day third in chips, and he's already added to that total in one of the first hands of the day.

Joshua Mountain: {x-}{x-}/{4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Spades}/{x-}
Ylon Schwartz: {x-}{x-}/{9-Hearts}{5-Spades}{a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}/{x-}
Farhad Mobassery: {x-}{x-}/{a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}/{x-}

The three players arrived on sixth street with the open two pair {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Spades} coming in for Mountain. He put in a bet with his favorable hand, and Schwartz and Mobassery folded.

Good Start for Cong

Niveau 11 : 1,000/2,000, 200 ante

Senh Cong just dropped Shannon Petluck's stack to the point where it's flashing red for low fuel.

Cong: {x-}{x-}/{6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}/{x-}
Petluck: {x-}{x-}/{a-Spades}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}/{x-}

Petluck, first to act, bet, and Cong called (2,000). After the final down card, Petluck bet again, and Cong immediately called, showing his third six, the {6-Hearts}. Petlock mucked.

Elsewhere, Anthony Zinno busted Seiko Kudo to bump his stack up to average.
