Eskenazi Eliminates Heinzl

Niveau 21 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

The action began with Joshua Heinzl opening from early position to 40,000, and Scott Eskenazi re-raised to 145,000 in middle position. Everyone folded back to Heinzl who made the call. The dealer spread a flop of {5-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}, Heinzl led for 310,000 and Eskenazi raised all-in. Heinzl quickly called off his remaining stack and the cards were tabled.

Scott Eskenazi: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}
Joshua Heinzl: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

Heinzl had flopped top pair but Eskenazi had him in trouble with a pair of aces. The turn {4-Clubs} and the river {9-Clubs} were no help to Heinzl, eliminating him from the tournament

Welcome Back for Day Two of Event #25: $600 Pot Limit Omaha Deepstack

Cliff Josephy
Cliff Josephy

After an action-packed opening day of Event #25: $600 Pot Limit Omaha Deepstack, there will be 215 players returning to the felt for day two all in search of a World Series of Poker bracelet. Less than ten percent of the field remains of the 2,577 total entries and they are already in the money.

Leading the field with 1,760,000 chips is Corey Wright with more than four times the average stack. Not far behind him is Robert Valden with 1,275,000. It won't be an easy path to the gold bracelet, with many former bracelet winners still in the hunt. Peter Eichhardt (1,100,000) and Cliff Josephy (1,009,000) are also in the top ten chip counts and looking to add to their bracelet collection. Upeshka De Silva (762,000), and JC Tran (460,000) are a couple of notables to keep your eye on as well.

The action will resume today at 12.00 p.m with the blinds resuming on level 21. The blinds will be 40-minutes in length and will start at 8,000/16,000. There will be a 15-minute break after every three levels, and a 60-minute dinner break after the ninth level at approximately 6.30 p.m. Coming into day two all of the remaining hopefuls are guaranteed at least $1,130, while the winner will be taking home $205,605 and WSOP bracelet.

Follow along with the PokerNews live reporting team for all of the day's coverage until a winner is crowned.
