Kwatra Waits Until the River

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

The action folded to Derek Bowers on the button who made it 27,000 to go. Sergio Fernandez called from the small blind and Anuj Kwatra tagged along from the big blind. The flop came {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and the action checked around to the {q-Clubs} on the turn.

All three players checked again and the {4-Diamonds} landed on the river. Fernandez led out for 65,000 and Kwatra raised to 150,000. Bowers quickly folded and Fernandez thought for a minute before making the call. Kwatra tabled {q-Spades}{j-Clubs} and Fernandez mucked his cards.

Morman Can't Win a Flip

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Vladimir Revniaga opened to 26,000 from the hijack and Jason Morman shoved all in for around 150,000 on the button. Gustavo Darosamuniz called from the small blind and Revniaga quickly folded.

Gustavo Darosamuniz: {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Jason Morman: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

It was a coin flip but the flop of {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} was no help to Morman. The {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {8-Spades} on the river changed nothing and Morman was eliminated.

Unlucky Turn Card for Charania

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Mohsin Charania
Mohsin Charania

Mohsin Charania was grinding the short stack for most of the level but finally found a good spot to get all of his chips in the middle. Charania was all in for around 90,000 and was up against Gustavo Darosamuniz.

Mohsin Charania: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Gustavo Darosamuniz: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}

Charania was in a dominating position and the flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Hearts} left him in the lead. However, the {9-Diamonds} on the turn gave Darosamuniz a straight and the {3-Spades} on the river ended Charania's tournament.

Phan Secures a Double Up

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Peter Hong raised to 28,000 from middle position and Tuan Phan took his time to think about it from the cutoff. He put all of his chips in the middle after about a minute and Hong wanted a count. The bet was for 261,000 in total and Hong thought about it. He flicked in a call and he wasn't happy to see Phan open up {q-Spades}{q-Diamonds}. Hong showed {k-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

The board ran out {10-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Phan doubled up after Hong failed to hit a king or a club on the river.

Think Long, Think Wrong

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Jared Koppel opened to 26,000 in early position and Timothy Miles three-bet to 85,000 on his left. The action folded back to Koppel who called to see a flop of {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Koppel check-called a bet of 75,000 from Miles and the {9-Diamonds} landed on the turn.

Koppel checked again and Miles checked it back. The {5-Hearts} completed the board and Koppel pushed out a bet of 245,000. Miles sat still for three minutes in thought as the table rustled around him. Miles finally leaned back in his chair but continued to think for nearly another five minutes.

Eventually, Miles slid out the chips to call and Koppel turned over {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} for a turned set of nines. Miles mucked his cards and Koppel climbed into the seven-figure mark.
