Chip Millionaire Phuoc Nguyen "Really Lucky"

Niveau 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Owner of one of the top stacks in Day 2c, Phuoc Nguyen, is getting a combination of props and envious comments from his tablemates as apparently he's been dealt a number of monster hands in Level 1.

"He's really lucky - he's getting kings, aces, kings..." said neighbour Carlin Skousen.

"I've had no action!" Nguyen responded with a smile.

"That's more hands than I've seen in a week," he continued (backed up by Ryan Fairgrieve saying, "Me too!").

"It doesn't help that he's good, too," added Skousen.

Nines are Just Fine for Andrade

Niveau 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

With the board reading {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Hearts} and with approximately 35,000 in the pot, Michael Zulker checked to Gabriel Andrade who bet 15,000. Zulker made the call.

Zulker check-called again, this time a 35,000 bet on the {j-Spades} river.

He then mucked his hand when Andrade tabled {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}.

Early Surge for Mossey

Niveau 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Molly Mossey
Molly Mossey

Oliver Klar was first to act and moved all in for 109,000. Molly Mossey, who made the final table of the 2018 WSOP Ladies Event, shoved all in for 91,000 from middle position. From the hijack, Devin Volta came over the top all in to put both players at risk.

Molly Mossey: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Oliver Klar: {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}
Devin Volta: {q-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{4-Hearts} to keep Mossey in the lead start to finish for an early triple-up.

Chip and a Chair for Doljevic

Niveau 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Marko Doljevic was left with just 10,000 in chips after posting the big blind ante and more or less forced all in after posting another big blind. After Junxing Meng had raised in late position, Alexandre Henry shoved all in from the small blind, Doljevic called all in, and Meng folded.

Marko Doljevic: {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}
Alexandre Henry: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The dealer fanned out {k-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Clubs} to improve Doljevic's rags to a straight and he stacked the pot with a wide grin.

Sevens Provide Very Different Fortunes to Bennett and Pitman

Niveau 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

Two neighboring tables just saw players involved in large hands with pocket sevens. First, on Table 181, an all-in preflop situation saw Michael Bennett holding {7-Spades}{7-Clubs}, his last 100,000 or so over the line, called by big stack Brian Taylor with {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}. The board ran out {2-Spades}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{j-Hearts} and that overcard spelled the end of the Big 50 for Bennett.

Over on Table 171, Shengjun Han had moved in on a flop of {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} for around 100,000, with 55,000 already in the pot. Opponent Bert Pitman asked for a count before calling with {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, his middle set holding against the straight draw of Han ({a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}).

Nguyen Shoves the Turn

Niveau 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The board read {9-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Clubs} and there was about 100,000 in the pot. After the dealer put the {6-Clubs} on the turn, Carlin Skousen checked to Phuoc Nguyen, who announced: "All in."

Skousen then started talking to and eyeing Nguyen, who gave no response until Skousen mucked his hand.

Nguyen then handed his cards to Skousen, who, after seeing what they were, flung them into the muck.

The dealer retrieved them and revealed the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} for a turned set.

"The Master" Takes One Down

Niveau 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Men Nguyen
Men Nguyen

On a {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} board, Jason Stern had 50,000 in front of him. Men Nguyen clicked it to 101,000, Stern chucked it in for a little more and Nguyen swiftly called.

Jason Stern: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}
Men Nguyen: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Stern needed to dodge a plethora of outs against the seven-time bracelet winner but the {j-Diamonds} on the turn directly put him in a deep hole. The {9-Clubs} river ended his tournament while Nguyen remains among the top stacks.

Updated Counts

Niveau 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

The Ladies are Good to Rupert

Niveau 15 : 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante

On a board reading {6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{a-Hearts} Jared Milmeister was getting up from his seat and gathering his belongings.

He had gotten the last of his chips all in preflop and was called by Phillip Rupert, who had him slightly covered in chips.

Milmeister had tabled {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, but unfortunately for him Rupert was holding {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}, which held and ended Milmeister's tournament run.
