Saya Ono
Saya Ono

The preflop action in this hand was relayed by players at the table.

Kevin Calenzo went all in for his last 22,000,000 and Saya Ono in the small blind called. Rafi Elharar, having both players covered, three-bet shoved all in. Ono called it off for her tournament life which sent the pot soaring to over 150,000,000.

Rafi Elharar: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Saya Ono: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Kevin Calenzo: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The board ran out {3-Spades}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}, which sent the massive pot over to Elharar and crushed both Ono's and Calenzo's hopes.

Directly after the massive clash, Rafi Elharar's table got broken and he got moved to the already substantially stacked table of Amazon Gold 403.

Shortly after Elharar got moved to the open seat in the middle, it was Sarkis Paronyan who shoved for 16,000,000 from under the gun. Everyone folded to Tam Nguyen in the big blind, who called.

Sarkis Paronyan: {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Tam Nguyen: {7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}

Paronyan picked up a flush draw to go with his overcards along the way but didn't get there on {9-Spades}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{3-Clubs} and bowed out.

Hoa Eliminated and Rathi Regrets His Fold

Niveau 38 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Action folded to Thanh Hoa on the button, and he went all in with his last remaining chips. Femi Fashakin then re-raised all in from his small blind, which got a sigh from the short-stacked Rathi, who then folded {k-Spades}{5-Spades} face up.

Thanh Hoa: {j-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Femi Fashakin: {a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

After the dealer spread the {k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop, Rathi then let out another sigh. The {8-Diamonds} turn and {4-Clubs} river completed the runout and eliminated Hoa from the tournament.

Uvaydov Sends Mccoy Out

Niveau 38 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante

Benjamin Mccoy opened to 3,800,000 and Kartik Ved called from the cutoff, followed by David Uvaydov in the big blind.

The flop brought {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Uvaydov checked. Mccoy continued for 5,500,000 and only Uvaydov made the call.

Things heated on the turn {2-Clubs}. Uvaydov bet 6,000,000 and called the all-in move from Mccoy for 16,800,000 million. Uvaydov showed {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a set of sevens while Mccoy tabled {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}. Drawing dead, Mccoy made his way to the exit after a {a-Spades} fell on the river.

Former Marine Tim Adkison Makes Astoria Proud in Big 50

Niveau 38 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Tim Adkison
Tim Adkison

Tim Adkison busted the Big 50 in 40th place for $27,620, the biggest score of his career. Prior to his elimination, PokerNews caught up with the 27-year-old former marine and UNLV student to talk about the experience of playing the largest tournament in poker history.

“Because of the tournament itself, it’s awesome,” said Adkison, who is originally from Astoria, Oregon. “I’ve played pretty deep in other tournaments but this is obviously the deepest. It’s pretty tough. There’s no more fish in this entire tournament, so every chip is important.”

It actually marked Adkison’s second attempt at the Big 50 after busting an early bullet.

“I pre-regged the first time and made it to Level 10,” he explains. “I busted and got back in line for the next day. It wasn’t that bad of a line as it was after midnight.”

Torbey Saved by the River

Niveau 38 : 800,000/1,600,000, 1,600,000 ante
Amer Torbey
Amer Torbey

The preflop action on this hand was confirmed by dealer and players.

After Tam Nguyen raised to 4,200,000 from early position, action folded around to Amer Torbey, who, according to players, made an "accidental' re-raise to 7,000,000. With action back on Nyuyen he four-bet shoved all in, Torbey called and was all in and at risk for his tournament life.

Amer Torbey: {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Tam Nguyen: {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}

The flop came {4-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}, which paired the king for both players and meant that Torbey still needed to hit a ten. The {q-Spades} turn was of no help, but the {10-Hearts} river gave Torbey two pair and saved him from elimination.
