Barry Gets Set Straight

Niveau 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

In a four-way limped pot on a flop of {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}, action checked to Erin Rott on the button and she bet 2,000, which got check-called by Joshua Vanduyn in the small blind and Derrick Barry from early position. After Vanduyn checked the {j-Spades} turn, Barry bet out 3,000, which was called by Rott and then check-raised to 10,000 by Vanduyn. Both Rott and Barry made the call.

Vanduyn then bet 31,000 on the {4-Diamonds} river, which got a call from Barry and a fold from Rott. Vanduyn tabled {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts} for the turned jack-high straight and Barry tabled {7-Hearts}{7-Spades} for the flopped bottom set. Rott was left with just 15,800 after that hand and then eliminated two hands later when her {q-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} was out-kicked by {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts} on a jack-high board.

Farrell Loses One

Niveau 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

A player opened to 1,200 and it was called by the cutoff, Niall Farrell on the button and the players in the blinds to create a five-way pot.

The flop appeared {2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} and after his opponents checked, Farrell bet 3,000. Only the small blind player called.

The turn {k-Spades} and river {6-Clubs} brought no betting action and Farrell mucked his cards after his opponent revealed {4-Spades}{7-Spades}.

Cosby Chipping Down

Niveau 6 : 300/500, 500 ante
Sam Cosby
Sam Cosby

The player under the gun opened to 1,200 and it was called by Samuel Cosby as well as the button player.

The flop came {9-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{8-Hearts} and after a check, Cosby bet 3,200. It folded back to the player under the gun who raised it to 8,200. Cosby tanked for a minute before making the call and a {4-Diamonds} showed up on the turn. Cosby's oppoennt fired 14,000 and after some thoughts, Cosby called, leaving him with 12,000 left behind.

The river was the {4-Hearts} and the first player tossed a pile of 5,000 chips, putting Cosby's tournament at risk. Cosby quickly mucked his cards.

Eng Doubles Just Before the Break

Niveau 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Action was picked up on the turn on a board reading {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Hearts}, and Kenneth Eng had moved all in for his last remaining chips. David Mallet, in the next seat over, was standing and debating a call, which he made.

Kenneth Eng: {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}
David Mallet: {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Both players had flopped trip sixes, and although Mallet's ace kicker currently played, Eng had the redraw to the king-high flush, which he hit on the {4-Hearts} river.

Josifovski's Stack Gets Jacked

Niveau 6 : 300/500, 500 ante

Fireworks started when Douglas Adkins raised to 1,400 from the under-the-gun position. Gregory Josifovski then three-bet to 3,600 from the next seat over, got a call and then was four-bet to 15,000 by Ryan Pochedly on the button. Adkins thought for a moment and folded, but Josifovski responded with a five-bet shove for the rest of his stack. The next player got out of the way, but Pochedly made the call and both players tabled their hands.

Gregory Josifovski: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Ryan Pochedly: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

Josifovski's queens stayed ahead of Pochedly's jacks on the {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop, but that all changed on the {j-Spades} turn and the {8-Spades} river officially sent Josifovski to the rail.
