Farrell Running Good

Niveau 23 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ben Farrell doubled up again to over 120,000 against Dario Sammartino and then got some value from {q-Spades}{4-Diamonds} when he flopped trip queens. In the next hand, Farrell raised to 25,000 and Sammartino called to see a flop of {q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades}.

Sammartino check-called a bet of 18,000 on the flop and another 60,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn card. The river brought the {j-Clubs} and both players knuckled the table. Farrell turned over {j-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a rivered pair of jacks and Sammartino threw his cards into the muck in disgust.

Sammartino Takes Perhaps a Decisive Lead

Niveau 22 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

After both players put in 35,000 preflop, Ben Farrell bet 15,000 on an {a-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{a-Spades} flop. Dario Sammartino called.

The turn was the {k-Hearts} and Farrell bet 70,000. Sammartino called.

The river was the {10-Spades}. Farrell moved all in and Sammartino agonized for a couple of minutes before calling.

Farrell mucked his {9-Spades}{2-Hearts} and Sammartino doubled for 159,000.

On the very next hand, Farrell doubled for 35,000 with {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} against {a-Spades}{4-Diamonds} as he rivered a straight on a {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} but Sammartino still holds a commanding chip lead.

In a limped pot, the dealer fanned the flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Spades}. Ben Farrell checked to Dario Sammartino who bet 10,000. Farrell called and the {2-Hearts} landed on the turn. Farrell check-called another bet of 34,000 from Sammartino and the {j-Hearts} completed the board.

Farrell checked one more time and Sammartino slid out a bet of 98,000. Farrell instantly mucked his cards and Sammartino took the chip lead for the first time heads-up.

However, in the next hand, Farrell raised to 25,000 on the button and Sammartino defended. The flop came {8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades} and both players checked to the {6-Hearts} on the turn.

Sammartino led out for 35,000 and Farrell called to see the {a-Spades} on the river. Sammartino checked this time and Farrell dropped in a bet of 70,000. Sammartino called and Farrell tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Spades} to claim the pot and re-take the lead.

Even Stevens in Both Remaining Matches

Niveau 22 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

Johan Guilbert bet 46,000 on a river of {5-Spades}{k-Spades}{6-Spades}{q-Spades}{10-Clubs} and after some tanking, Louis Helm called. Guilbert quickly turned over {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a flush and Helm mucked his hand. This meant Guilbert chipped up, with the pair level in stacks.

Meanwhile one table over, Dario Sammartino and Ben Farrell are also level in chip stacks.

Guilbert Clawing Back

Niveau 22 : 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante

In one of the first hands back from the break, Louis Helm shoved all in on the button and Johan Guilbert called off his stack of around 75,000. Helm tabled {j-Hearts}{5-Spades} against Guilbert's {a-Spades}{k-Spades}. The board ran out clean for Guilbert who managed to score a double up.

Moments later, the two players saw a flop of {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} and they checked to the {q-Diamonds} on the turn. Helm led out for 24,000 into a pot of around 60,000 and Guilbert called. The {6-Clubs} completed the board and both players checked again.

Helm turned over {k-Clubs}{6-Spades} while Guilbert showed {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} for a larger two pair.

On a {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts} board Johan Guilbert check-called 24,000 and the river was the {3-Spades}.

Guilbert checked to opponent Louis Helm who moved all in. Guilbert tanked but eventually folded.

"Show the bluff," said Guilbert, and Helm obligingly let him pick one card. "You have an eight like seven-eight."

Guilbert turned over the {8-Spades} and Helm took down the pot.
