Chang Takes Down Big Slick

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

Carlos Chang raised to 5,100 from middle position and it folded around to Sargon Guliana, who made the call from the button. After the player in the small blind folded, the player in the big blind then three-bet shoved all in and Chang asked for a count.

The dealer confirmed a total of 54,300, Chang thought for about thirty seconds before he made the call, and then Guliana folded {3-Clubs}{3-Spades} face up. The remaining two players tables their hands and the big blind player saw that his monster had run into an even bigger monster.

Big-Blind Player: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}
Chang: {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}

The board ran out {4-Spades}{2-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{9-Clubs}, which eliminated the all-in player, who quickly exited the tournament area.

Quads Over Top Full House Again at Same Table

Niveau 12 : 1,000/2,000, 2,000 ante

At the same table where the quad kings over aces full hand occurred, the same thing happened again.

The information was relayed that it had been a pre-flop all in {8-}{8-} vs {3-}{3-}. The flop was another wild one as it came {3-}{3-}{8-} to give the player with threes the winning quads over the top full house.

Aoki Dodges Diamonds, Survives All in

Niveau 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Mikiyo Aoki had moved all in with a flop reading {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. She got a call from her opponent. Aoki was ahead, but had outs to fade as she held the {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} up against the {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} of her opponent.

The turn was the {8-Spades} to stay safe and the river was the {a-Hearts} to give Aoki a nice double up.

What Just Happened?

Niveau 11 : 800/1,600, 1,600 ante

Hand relayed courtesy of Kenna James.

Action started when Pierre Calamusa shoved all in from under-the-gun for his last 16,000. Donovan Zachary, in middle position, had looked down at his phone and didn't notice the all-in shove, so he tried to make what he thought was a standard raise and instead ended up having to call Calamusa's shove.

The player in the cutoff then shoved all in for 45,000, which was then called by Darren Colbourne on the button. When action got to Joao Manana in the big blind, he then shoved all in for 150,000, which was then called by Zachary, who had a smaller stack than Manana. With so much preflop all in action, Colbourne then decided to muck his hand, which he said was pocket tens. The four players then tabled their hands.

Pierre Calamusa: {6-}{6-}
Donovan Zachary: {a-}{a-}
Middle Position Player: {k-}{k-}
Joao Manana: {a-}{a-}

The board ran out {j-}{10-}{6-}{4-}{3-}, which gave Calamusa a full quadruple-up, eliminated the middle position player, left Colbourne shaking his head, and Zachary and Manana chopping the side pot.

Niveau 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

In a pot of about 18,100 with the board reading {9-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{7-Clubs} Jamie Gold bet 6,000 over to his opponent who considered the bet for quite a while before tossing in the call.

Gold turned over the {10-Hearts}{2-Spades} for the straight and his opponent mucked in frustration.
