Out of the 1,216 players who took to the felt in pursuit of WSOP gold in Event #40: $1,500 Pot-Limit Omaha, 21 still remain in contention. Each player is guaranteed a payday of at least $8,807, but all eyes are on the top prize of $298,507.

Leading the way is Denis Bagdasarov who climbed to a stack of 3,035,000 on the very last hand of Day 2, busting two opponents in a gigantic pot and become the first player to cross the 3,000,000-chip mark.

Some WSOP champions are still in the hunt for a new trophy; two-time bracelets winner Benjamin Zamani (2,900,000), Steve Sung (1,450,000) and Norbert Szecsi (665,000) will both return for Day 3 action. Ayaz Mahmood, also the owner of a gold bracelet is in the run with 1,075,000.

Day 2 started with 200 players with 183 players reaching the money after an unfortunate Barny Boatman got eliminated by Mike Matusow at the bubble. Familiar names like Matt Stout (171th - $2,248), Ankush Mandavia (168th - $2,248), Brock Parker (128th - $2,357), Jan-Peter Jachtmann (87th - $2,991), Erik Seidel (82nd - $2,991) or Steven Wolansky (50th - $5,083) all cashed the tournament but failed to find a bag at the end of Day 2.

The players will begin to play at Level 26 which features a small blind of 25,000, big blind of 50,000 and the plan is to play down to six players. There will be a 15-minute minute break every two levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 31, at approximately 6:30 p.m.
