Blumenfield Outmuscles Smiljkovic

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Neil Blumenfield
Neil Blumenfield

Action picked up on the flop, but preflop action replayed courtesy of players at the table.

Neil Blumenfield raised it to 26,000 from middle position, action folded to Daniel Smiljkovic on the button and he three-bet to 85,000, and Blumenfield made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of {3-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, and Blumenfield led out for 26,000, which was met with a three-bet to 70,000 from Smiljkovic. Blumenfield then came back over the top with a four-bet shove all in, which sent Smiljkovic into the tank. He tanked for over a minute before sending his cards to the muck, which then sent the pot to Blumenfield.

Stout's Aces Are Not Good

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Matt Stout
Matt Stout

Matt Stout raised to 27,000 and the big blind player called.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Stout continued for 22,000 after his opponent checked. The latter took a minute before raising it to 52,000. Stout made the call.

The turn brought the {10-Hearts} and the big blind tossed a pile of 25,000 chips in the middle, putting Stout's tournament at risk with a remaining stack around 130,000. Stout called, showing {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} but only to see {k-Spades}{5-Clubs} in his opponent's hand and got eliminated after a {3-Diamonds} completed the board.

King Cracks Kings

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Action picked up on the flop of {4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Spades}, but preflop action replayed courtesy of Ronald Minnis.

After Ronald Minnis min-raised to 24,000 and a player called in middle position, action folded around to Josh King, and he made the call from his big blind. King checked the flop, Minnis continued for 45,000 and the middle-position player shoved for 101,000.

With action back on King, he thought for about 30 seconds before four-bet shoving for his last 289,000, which sent Minnis, who had both players easily covered, deep into the tank. After a least a minute Minnis stated that he wanted to call so badly, but instead folded his hand {j-Spades}{9-Spades} face up and the two remaining players tabled their hands.

Middle-Position Player: {k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Josh King: {10-Hearts}{4-Hearts}

King's flopped two pair held against the middle-position player's overpair on the {8-Clubs}{7-Spades} runout. Of course Minnis couldn't help but notice that he would have rivered the flush with the straight kicker and scored a double knockout if he had made the call

Roller Coaster for Turner

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante
Jon Turner
Jon Turner

On a first hand, Jon Turner raised on the button to 26,000 and the player in the big blind moved all in for 165,000. After some consideration, Turner chose to call to create the following showdown:

Jon Turner: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}
His opponent: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Turner's hand was dominated and he found no help on a board {10-Spades}{8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Diamonds}, improving his opponent's hand into the nut flush.

A few minutes later, Turner was all in with {3-Hearts}{3-Spades} for a remaining stack worth 130,000 and was facing {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} for his opponent. Turner won the flip after the board brought {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{2-Spades}{6-Clubs}{j-Spades} and got his double up.

Dixit Wins His Race

Niveau 20 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

After action folded around to Satyajit Dixit, he raised it to 30,000. When action then folded to the big-blind player, he three-bet shoved, Dixit made the call and was the at-risk player.

Satyajit Dixit: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Big-Blind Player: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

The runout of {9-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{10-Spades}{9-Clubs} was safe for Dixit and secured his double-up late on Day 2.
