Two Wheels Equals Chop

Niveau 9 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

A player opened with a raise from the hijack and was called by Andrew Barber in the cutoff. Andrew Woodmancey was on the button and made it three bets to continue. The hijack and Barber both called and the first draw went two, two, pat. Action was checked to Woodmancey, who put in a bet that the hijack and Barber called. The second draw went one, two, pat and action was again checked to Woodmancey, who made another bet. The hijack check-raised and both Barber and Woodmancey called.

All three players stood pat on the final draw and the hijack led out with a bet. Barber put in a raise and Woodmancey went into the tank for about a full minute before calling. As quickly as he called, the hijack put in a third bet. Barber made the call and Woodmancey quickly folded.

Both players tabled {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for the nuts, with their wheels splitting the chips in the three-way pot.

Badugi

Alex Foxen raised on the button and James Pritchard defended big blind and drew a card. Foxen took two and Pritchard bet into him, but Foxen raised. Pritchard called and patted, and Foxen patted behind. Pritchard check-called then broke.

"At least we made him break," Foxen said to Kristen Bicknell, who had showed up to sweat this hand.

Foxen bet again and Pritchard shook his head and folded.

"Is it a good hand?" Bicknell asked, leaning in. "Or were you bluffing? Oh, it is a good hand."

"Do you think he knows what a good hand is?" Eric Wasserson asked with a laugh.

Brunson Wheels Away With a Capped Pot

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Todd Brunson
Todd Brunson

2-7 Triple Draw

Betting was capped between three players before the draw and Todd Brunson took a card from the small blind. The big blind did likewise while the player on the button needed two. Brunson bet, the big blind raised and the third player called. Brunson made it three to the second draw and everyone took a card then checked. Everyone again drew, and Brunson came out betting.

The big blind mucked but the third player called. Brunson tabled {7-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-} for a wheel and dragged the pot.

"Did you write the book on this game, Todd?" someone asked.

"Gordo" Takes a Hefty One

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Layne Flack bet after the second draw from the cutoff and Mike Gorodinsky raised him on the button. A third player moved all in for 3,400 out of the small blind and Flack reraised, with Gorodinsky calling. The small blind drew one, Flack patted and "Gordo" patted behind.

Gorodinsky called a final bet, and Flack fanned {7-}{5-}{4-}{2-}{a-} but it was no good against {6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}{a-}, which the all-in player also couldn't beat.

Urbanovich Wins Blinds Battle

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Action folded to Dzmitry Urbanovich in the small blind who put in a raise. His opponent called from the big blind and both players drew one card. Urbanovich fired out a bet that was called by his opponent, and the second draw went pat, one. Urbanovich again made a bet and his opponent called. Urbanovich stood pat on the final draw and his opponent took one again, taking action to the last round of betting. Urbanovich put in another bet and his opponent folded, sending the pot to Urbanovich without a showdown.

Chait Chips Up With Seven

Niveau 8 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Craig Chait opened the action with a raise from under the gun and action folded around to the big blind, who made the call. The big blind drew two cards and Chait drew one. The big blind then check-called Chait's continuation-bet and drew two again on the second draw. Chait stood pat and was check-called after he fired a second barrel. Both players stood pat on the river and the big blind check-called a third time.

Chait tabled {7-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for a seven-low and his opponent mucked, stating that he had a good eight.
