Six See the Turn

Niveau 4 : 1,000/2,000, 0 ante

Ronnie Bardah said a good hand was developing with six players to the turn, and there looked to be about 18,000 in the pot already. The board read {4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and action checked to the cutoff, where Michael Moore bet. James Chen raised on his left, Alex Torry cold-called in middle position and a fourth player came along for the {8-Clubs} river. Torry bet, Moore called and Chen was torn.

"This can't be good anymore," he said with a sigh.

Still, he called, and he was right that whatever he had was not good as Torry had {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} for the nuts.

With {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} on the felt, Yuri Dzivielevski checked from under the gun and then raised a bet from Sean Yu on the button. Yu called and then called a final bet on the {3-Clubs} river. Dzivielevski showed {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades} for top full house and Yu mucked his {q-}{q-} face up.

Despite the setback, Yu has a stack well above the starting count.

Deeb Off to a Fast Start

Niveau 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Shaun Deeb was under the gun against Juha Helppi, who defended his big blind and check-called the first two streets on a {7-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{j-Spades}{4-Hearts}{7-Spades} board. On the river, he checked and tank-folded to a final bet from Deeb, who has turned his 60,000 into over 80,000 in a hurry.

At other tables, notable regs Brock Parker and James Chen have taken seats.

"Whoops"

Niveau 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Phil Hui was big blind on {3-Spades}{8-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and put in a check-raise against Eric Panayiotou, who bet in middle position. Panayiotou put in a third bet, giving Hui pause.

"Whoops," he said.

About 20 seconds later, he called, but Panayiotou had run out perfect with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Daniel Negreanu was in middle position and bet every street on a {2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} runout. Todd Witteles called him down from the small blind, and his {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} prevailed at showdown as Negreanu had an inferior kicker with {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

Hui Sliding

Niveau 3 : 800/1,600, 0 ante

Katherine Fleck bet from the cutoff on {k-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Phil Hui called from the small blind, while two others folded. On the {5-Diamonds} turn, Hui check-called again, but both players checked the {j-Clubs} river, with Fleck's {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} taking it.

Then, Hui three-bet in the cutoff when Justin Tazelaar opened hijack for a raise. Tazelaar peeled and check-raised the {j-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Both players checked the {8-Spades} and the river was a {3-Spades}. Tazelaar bet again and received a quick call but his {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} was a winner.
