Hands #33-37: Kurganov Calls Negreanu's Bluff

Niveau 24 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Hand #33: Dominik Nitsche limped in from the hijack and Igor Kurganov made it 1,050,000 from the cutoff. The action folded back to Nitsche who called to see a flop of {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. Nitsche checked to Kurganov who bet 700,000 and Nitsche mucked his cards.

Hand #34: Kurganov opened to 650,000 from the hijack and Daniel Negreanu called from the small blind. The flop fell {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} and both players checked to the {5-Hearts} on the turn. Negreanu led out for 850,000 and Kurganov stuck around for the {q-Hearts} on the river.

Negreanu pushed out a bet of 2,100,000, forcing Kurganov into the tank for two of his time extensions. Kurganov eventually called and Negreanu tabled {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds} while Kurganov showed {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs} to claim the pot.

Hand #35: Negreanu shoved all in for 6,350,000 on the button and both of the blinds folded.

Hand #36: Nick Schulman made it 600,000 in the hijack and Kurganov defended his big blind. The flop came {7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{2-Spades} and Kurganov check-folded to a bet of 825,000 from Schulman.

Hand #37: Negreanu pushed all in for 7,100,000 in the hijack and picked up the blinds and ante.
