Fisher Eliminates Shaffer

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Brett Shaffer moved all in for his last 500,000 in chips from the small blind and was called by Christopher Fisher from the big blind after he confirmed that it was exactly 400,000 more to call.

Brett Shaffer: {q-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}
Christopher Fisher: {9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Fisher moved ahead on the {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop and the {j-Clubs}{a-Clubs} runout kept him in the lead and eliminated Shaffer from the tournament.

Tran Barrels

Niveau 29 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
J.C. Tran
J.C. Tran

JC Tran opened the action from the button, making it 200,000 to play. Sergio Aguilar called in the big blind and they saw an {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} flop. Aguilar check-called Tran's 150,000 continuation bet and they went to the turn.

It was the {2-Spades} and after another check, Tran barreled for 425,000 and Aguilar let it go.

Zyrin Out, Chen Up

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Anatolii Zyrin raised to 350,000, leaving 80,000 behind. Robert Angeleri was the biggest stack at the table and three-bet to 800,000 on the cutoff. Shi Chen was playing out of the small blind and went over the top again, betting 1,065,000 all in. When the action came back to Zyrin, he called the rest and Angeleri made up the difference as well.

Shi Chen: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Robert Angeleri: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Anatolii Zyrin: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

There was a king in the window on a {j-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop and Zyrin was looking for a queen to hit broadway. The {5-Clubs} was a brick and a {7-Spades} river was too little too late for Angeleri. Zyrin hit the rail and Angeleri is still in good shape even after that loss, whilst Chen is on the up.

One Spade Too Many

Niveau 28 : 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante

Denis Gnidash moved all in and from the next seat over Sohale Khalili moved all in behind for less.

Sohale Khalili: {k-Spades}{j-Spades}
Denis Gnidash: {a-Spades}{10-Hearts}

The {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{q-Spades} flop was a great one for Khalili, but the {7-Spades} turn made the board a little scary and the {5-Spades}river was a nightmare card for Khalili as he was four-flushed by Gnidash and sent to the rail.

Fisher Reels in a Big One

Niveau 27 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Steven Wolansky raised it to 125,000 from the hijack and was called by Christoher Fisher on the button and Patrick Eskandar from his big blind.

Eskandar checked the {6-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Wolansky continued for 215,000 and both players called. After Eskandar checked the {2-Clubs} turn Wolansky moved all in. Fisher asked for a count and when the dealer confirmed 1,270,000, Fisher went into the tank for about a minute before he moved all in behind, which got a fold from Eskandar.

Christopher Fisher: {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}
Steven Wolansky: {a-Hearts}{8-Hearts}

Fisher saw that his king-high flush draw was no good, but he also had the top pair that needed to hold, which it did on the {6-Clubs} river. The big pot was sent to Fisher and Wolansky was sent to the payout desk. Eskandar said that he folded ace-jack and that if Fisher didn't call he would have made the call.
