Ho Getting Short

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Paul Patouilliart opened to 1,100 from middle position and Maria Ho called from the small blind. The two players saw a flop of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Clubs} and both players checked to the {9-Diamonds} on the turn.

Ho led out for 2,000 and Patouilliart called to see the {a-Hearts} on the river. Ho checked this time and Patouilliart made a small bet of 1,600. Ho looked him up and Patouilliart turned over {k-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} for the best hand.

Terry Fleischer checked an {8-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Spades}{9-Clubs} board from under the gun over to Kane Kalas on the button, who checked behind.

Fleischer assembled a bet of 17,700 on the {2-Hearts} river and pushed it into the pot. Kalas confirmed the amount, then folded, telling Fleischer, "Nice hand," as he did.

Meschel's Full Boat is Best

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

With {10-Spades}{5-Clubs}{6-Spades}{10-Clubs}{q-Clubs} showing on the board, David Meschel put out a bet for 10,000 from the big blind, and his opponent in the cutoff briefly thought over his decision. It was a short time in the tank for Meschel's opponent, who made the call but mucked when Meschel turned over {6-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} for the sixes-full-of tens-boat.

The pot put Meschel over the 100k mark in the early minutes of Level 3.

Some Miranda Counts

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Only six tables remain in Miranda and they are slowly but surely breaking into both Brasilia and Amazon.

Mike Watson was among those still seated and check-called a bet of 3,600 on the {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} river and was shown the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} by his table neighbor, which he had beat with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

Their table broke right after with all players heading to Brasilia.

Rees Folds Set and Regrets

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

The flop was out and three players were facing {j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Rodney Neubauer checked to Michael Rees who bet 3,000. Harry Arutyunyan flatted behind and Neubauer upped it to 7,000. Rees went into the tank for some time before letting it go and Arutyunyan sized his opponent up before making up the difference.

On to the turn and both players checked the {9-Hearts}. The river was the {2-Spades} and Neubauer check-called Arutyunyan's 5,000 bet but folded when he saw he was up against a straight with {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. As Arutyunyan collected the pot, Rees told the table that he'd folded pocket-nines on the flop, which would have made quads on the turn. He did not look pleased and no wonder as he is down to just 20 percent of starting stack.

Leonard Grabs a Few from Hughes

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Jeffrey Leonard raised it up from under the gun and was called by the cutoff, Ryan Hughes on the button, and the big blind. The flop fell {k-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds} and the action checked to Hughes who bet 2,400. Leonard was the only player to stick around for the {2-Clubs} on the turn.

Leonard checked again and Hughes checked it back this time. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and Leonard announced a bet of 2,400. Hughes called and Leonard flipped over {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} for a full house to rake in the pot.

Getzwiller Shoves Turn

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante

Gail Getzwiller was seen completing the call of a three-bet out of the small blind to a total of 4,200 in order to close action and go three ways to a flop of {q-Clubs}{a-Hearts}{8-Clubs}. She checked, as did Nick Maimone in the big blind and Victor Dong, who was under the gun.

The turn came {k-Spades} and Getzwiller announced she was all in. Maimone folded and Dong thought for a bit before folding as well and Getzwiller took down the much-needed pot, adding a significant portion of chips to her stack without a showdown.

Raymer Back to Starting Stack

Niveau 3 : 200/400, 400 ante
Greg Raymer
Greg Raymer

Greg Raymer had a profitable opening couple of levels but things have turned around recently. There was a raise to 1,000 from under the gun and the hijack called. Greg Raymer was in the cutoff and three-bet to 3,300 which got calls from both of his opponents.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and the action checked to the hijack who tossed in a bet of 3,100. Raymer raised to 8,000 which got the under-the-gun player to fold but the hijack called.

The turn was the {8-Clubs} which slowed the action as both players checked. The river was the {4-Clubs}, putting four clubs on the board. Both players checked again and Raymer was showed the {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}.

"Nice catch," Raymer said as he tossed his cards to the muck.
