Cheong Doubles Up

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Joe Choeng fired 6,500 into about 15,000 when the action was caught on the {2-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts} turn. Cheong was in the small blind and he got called by G Giannakopoulos in the cutoff.

The river fell {3-Diamonds} and Cheong moved all in for his remaining 19,100. Giannakopoulos thought for about a minute and then called.

Cheong showed {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, knowing he was taking it down after the safe runout. Giannakoupoulos wanted to muck his hand but the dealer turned it up, exposing {k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

Bouares Gets Lucky to Chop

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante

Farid Bouares bet 3,000 on a {3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop, and was called by a player in middle position, as well as David "ODB" Baker in the hijack.

Bouares continued for 5,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn, and only the middle position player called.

Both players quickly checked the {7-Diamonds} river, and the middle position player shook his head and said, "Straight!" before rolling over {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a turned straight that was counterfeited by the river. Bouares turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}, and the two chopped the pot, much to the chagrin of the middle position player.

The player who had moved all in showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} for the losing hand.

After the player had walked away a few of the players at the table were confused "Was he bluffing?" they wondered.
