Garg Wins One, Loses One to Bust

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

The {3-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} flop was on the felt, and Lokesh Garg had just jammed his last 24,300 in after his initial bet had been raised to 9,000 by Sohale Khalili on the button. Khalili eventually folded, flashing an {a-} as he did, and Garg followed suit, flashing his own {a-}.

"I had one of those, but I had a much better one," Garg told his opponent.

A few hands later, he was seen leaving his table, saying, "Nuts," out loud while his opponent nodded, and Garg headed home.

Kabrhel Turns Silver Into Gold

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Martin Kabrhel opened to 1,600 in early position and was called by Edward Ho on his left. Bob Beck also came along from the big blind and the flop came {a-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}. Beck checked to Kabrhel who continued for 1,600 and Ho folded. Beck called and the {j-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Amidst all of Kabrhel's chatter, Ho chimed in after he folded. "At least you're guaranteed second place now."

"Yes. I'm guaranteed a silver medal at the WSOP. That's pretty good," Kabrhel continued.

Both players checked the turn and the {7-Clubs} river. Beck turned over {5-Spades}{5-Clubs} but Kabrhel held {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} to claim the pot. "Wow! Look at this run I'm on. I never win with you watching," Kabrhel said to PokerNews. "For sure I win this tournament."

Thibodaux Stays Active

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Sergi Reixach raised to 1,600 from the hijack and Joshua Thibodaux defended his big blind. They both checked through the {4-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop to the {k-Spades} on the turn. Thibodaux led out for 2,100 and that was enough to pick up the pot.

The hand right after, Aaron Mermelstein raised to 1,600 from under the gun and was called by both Thibodaux and Sara Hall in the blinds.

The flop came {q-Spades}{j-Clubs}{6-Clubs}, Thibodaux bet 2,200 and Hall quickly folded. Mermelstein took some time to consider his options and then decided to make the call.

The turn was the {4-Diamonds} and Thibodaux quickly checked. Mermelstein contemplated for a while and then decided to bet 7,000 for Thibodaux to fold.
