Sigurjonsson Shoves

Niveau 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The board was down {j-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Gudmundur Sigurjonsson was all in from middle position for 70,000 with a pot of around 45,000 out there.

Sigurjonsson's opponent was deep in the tank from the small blind with 25,000 behind him.

Sigurjonsson sat patiently awaiting the answer to his question but after close to two minutes passed, his opponet folded.

"Good fold" said Sigurjonsson.

"I had a set of nine" added Sigurjonsson a minute later as the two players discussed the hand.

Bennett Takes One Out

Niveau 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

The player in middle position was all in for his last 27,800 against Justin Bennett in the hijack.

Opponent: {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Justin Bennett: {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} giving the player in middle position the lead with a set of tens. But the {9-Hearts} turn and {q-Diamonds} river completed the board and Bennett rivered a set of queens to win the pot, sending his opponent to the rail.

"That was scary," muttered Bennett as soon as his opponent left the felt.

Rheem Reads Bohn Like a Book

Chino Rheem

Blake Bohn was under the gun and bet 20,000 on a completed board of {a-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{9-Spades}. He only had about 15,000 back and there was around 30,000 in the pot. Two players were behind him and the first one, in middle position, tanked and then called. The other shook his head and folded.

"He's gonna show the nuts," Chino Rheem said, standing up. "I promise you he's gonna show the nuts."

Sure enough: Bohn chuckled and turned over {k-Spades}{3-Spades}.

"If he bets 20,000 into that pot into two people on his birthday...I know he has the nuts," Rheem explained.

Good Board for Martin

Niveau 7 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

There was a raise to 2,500 from early position and Kevin Martin called on the button to go heads-up to the flop. The dealer spread the flop of {9-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and the preflop raiser continued for 2,700. Martin raised to 8,000 and his opponent called.

One of the juiciest cards in the deck, the {7-Clubs}, landed on the turn. The action was checked to Martin who dropped in a bet of 15,700. His opponent was left shaking his head as he sent his cards to the muck and Martin scooped the pot.
