Gustavo Lopes started the day with 33,000 but the Brazilian was all in for around half of that holding and was in a commanding position against the of Laurent Ravier.
The flop came but the turn gave Ravier a set. The river was the and Lopes was eliminated.
Charles Edwards checked a flop from the big blind over to Kevin Cronin in middle position, who put out a bet of 4,300. Edwards check-raised to 10,000, and Cronin three-bet shoved to put Edwards in for his last 24,400, and Edwards called it off.

The turn sent a jolt through the table, and Edwards' turned two pair held for the double after the river failed to provide an ace for Cronin.
"I needed that...short stack desperation!" Edwards said.
Among those to late register and take a seat in the Amazon Gold section were Brian Zeid, Sandeep Pulusani, Jordan Polk and Ismael Bojang. Zeid already earned a profit after he was involved in a three-way three-bet pot for 7,500 each to the flop. Dapreesch Scates checked, Zeid bet 12,500 and that forced a fold from Ryan Jaconetti and Scates.
Jacob Wyscaver opened for 2,200 from middle and action folded to Spencer Christenson who three-bet Wyscaver all in from the big blind, Wyscaver called.

Wyscaver was behind but took a commanding lead after flopping trip tens on the flop.
The turn gave Christenson a broadway draw but the river fell the and Wyscaver started his day with a much needed double up.
Eric Wasserson raised it up to 2,000 from the cutoff and Jaime Padilla called on the button. The flop came and Wasserson started with a check. Padilla tossed in a bet of 3,000 only to have Wasserson check-raised to 6,600. Padilla called and the landed on the turn.
Wasserson checked again and Padilla checked it back. The river brought the and Wasserson splashed in a bet of 15,000. Padilla sent his cards to the muck and Wasserson picked up the pot.
Glenn Hughes opened to 2,400 from the hijack and Philip Schumacher three-bet to 7,100 from the cutoff. Michael McCullough started the day with 80,000 but was sitting with just under half that and shoved for 44,000 on the button.
The blinds folded and action was on Hughes who sat there muttering to himself.
"I've got a big hand," he said to the table repeatedly.
The dealer warned him not to go any further.
"I asked the dealer yesterday and I'm allowed to say that," said Hughes. Another player disagreed.
"Just give me a second, I've got a big hand," said Hughes. Eventually, the clock was called by Schumacher.
Hughes eventually folded as did Schumacher and McCullough took down the pot.
Craig Gonzales got his last 18,900 in with and was dominating his neighbor's on a flop. The turn and river were clean for Gonzales and he doubled past 50,000.
Jonathan Hilton raised to 1,600 on the button and Abdulrahim Amer three-bet to 5,600 from the small blind. Hilton added the remainder to call.
The dealer fanned a flop of and Amer threw in a bet of 4,500 that Hilton called. The turn brought the and Amer continued with another bet of 6,700 that Hilton called once more. The river completed the board and Amer fired 26,000. Hilton let it go and Amer tabled for a bluff before raking in the pot.
The board read and there was around 21,000 in the pot. Ivan Zarate was heads up from the cutoff against an opponent on the button and he had a bet of 13,900 in front of him.
His opponent thought for a few moments and ultimately folded as Zarate finds himself having increased his stack by over 20 percent in the first couple orbits of play for the day.
