Ellis Doubles Through Brokos

Niveau 18 : 6,000/12,000, 12,000 ante

Ronald Ellis jumped out of his seat in celebration and a player nearby joked "that sounds like a suckout."

Ellis replied "I had a lot of outs, a straight flush draw," while his stack was counted out with the cards tabled.

Ellis had been all in with {j-Hearts}{8-Hearts} against the {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} of Andrew Brokos on a board of {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} and spiked the jack on the river.

Dapeng Mu on the same table has also bounced back and nearly doubled his stack again.

Kelly Minkin

According to both Kelly Minkin and Alex Livingston, the two of them got into an all-in preflop situation resulting in Minkin doubling up.

As Minkin recalled, Livingston had opened from the hijack to 28,000 and Minkin shoved from the big blind for 112,000.

Livingston took the recap from there, stating he called with {10-Spades}{9-Spades}. Minkin had {a-}{q-} and found herself in prime position for the double.

The board ran out {j-Clubs}{5-Spades}{k-Spades}{9-Hearts}{a-Hearts}, giving Livingston a pair of nines on the turn before Minkin filled up to a pair of aces, ending with the best hand en route to the double up.
