Main Feature Hands #18-20: Marchington and Ensan Scoop Big Pots

Niveau 33 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante

Hand #18: Nick Marchington raised to 900,000 on the button and Michael Niwinski came along from the big blind to see the {j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop. Niwinski checked and called a bet of 700,000, the {3-Spades} appeared on the turn. Niwinski checked and a bet of 2,600,000 by Marchington did the trick to force a fold.

Hand #19: Marchington made it 900,000 to go from the cutoff and Warwick Mirzikinian three-bet to 2,400,000 on the button. Marchington called and they headed to a flop of {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}, which Marchington checked. Mirzikinian continued for 3,200,000 and picked up a call.

On the {q-Diamonds} turn, both players elected to check and the {6-Spades} fell on the river. Marchington now bet 2,500,000 and Mirzikinian called and was shown the {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs} by Marchington, who scooped the pot larger than the three bottom stacks at the main feature have at their disposal.

Hand #20: Henry Lu raised to 900,000 and Hossein Ensan called in the big blind. The flop brought {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} and Ensan check-called a continuation bet of 1,000,000 by Lu. After the {2-} turn, Ensan checked once more and faced a second barrel of 2,500,000 by Lu.

Ensan made the call and the {10-Diamonds} river paired up the board. A bet of 3,900,000 by Ensan ensured the pot, as Lu folded near-instantly.

Nicholas Danias
Nicholas Danias

Outer Table Hand #28: Alex Livingston shoved all in from early position for 7,500,000 and Austin Lewis called in the cutoff.

From the big blind, Nicholas Danias called all in for 5,825,000 total.

Danias: {a-Diamonds}{k-Spades}
Livingston: {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Lewis: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}

Both Danias and Livingston were at risk, and Lewis - the covering stack - had both players pipped with his pocket pair.

The flop landed {8-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{q-Hearts} to give each player a sweat. Danias had picked up a gusthot to the last remaining ten in the deck, while both Lewis and Livingston had straight draws. Livingston also picked up a flush draw to go with his double gutshot.

The turn of the {5-Hearts} changed little, but it would be the {k-Hearts} on the river that would see Livingston score a near-triple with his Broadway straight.

Danias' rivered top pair wasn't enough, and he was eliminated in 22nd place for a $324,650 payday.

Michael Niwinski

Hand #27: Warwick Mirzikinian opened to 900,000 on the button and Michael Niwinski three-bet to 2,700,000 from the small blind. Christopher Barton four-bet to 7,000,000 in the big blind to quickly force out Mirzikinian, while Niwinski needed more time to consider his options.

Niwinski moved all in for 11,050,000 and Barton called the remaining few chips to set up the following showdown.

Michael Niwinski: {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}
Christopher Barton: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Niwinski was ahead but the {10-Spades}{7-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop gave Barton a flush draw. The {q-Diamonds} turn gave both players a gutshot, and the {3-Clubs} river blanked to let Niwinski double.
