Michael Kane Eliminated in 17th Place ($113,465)

Niveau 21 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante
Michael Kane
Michael Kane

On three short-handed tables, a preflop showdown broke out in which Michael Kane in the cutoff eventually ended up as the player at risk for a pot of 13,643,096.

Kane faced Satoshi Isomae in the small blind and had the best of it when the cards were revealed.

Michael Kane: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Satoshi Isomae: {a-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}

There was no additional threat on the {9-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop but Isomae turned a gutshot when the {2-Diamonds} appeared. It was instead the {a-Clubs} that fell on the river to improve Isomae to a pair of aces and Kane had to settle for 17th place and a payday of $113,465.

Madanzhiev Loses Three All-Ins In a Row

Niveau 21 : 200,000/400,000, 50,000 ante

Within three consecutive hands, Stoyan Madanzhiev attempted to knock out a player and instead, his stack was knocked down by a lot as Joao Santos, Thomas Ward and Craig Timmis all doubled up.

Santos raised to 5,600,000 with 1,108,817 behind and then called all-in when Madanzhiev raised out of the big blind.

Joao Santos: {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}
Stoyan Madanzhiev: {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

On a board of {a-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{a-Spades}, Santos hit an ace on the flop and river to put a first dent into Madanzhiev's stack.

Santos vs Madanzhiev

Up next, Thomas Ward raised to 4 million in the cutoff and Madanzhiev called in the small blind, then min-bet the {9-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop and Ward called all-in for the last 136,120.

Thomas Ward: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Stoyan Madanzhiev: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Neither the {k-Spades} turn nor {k-Diamonds} river changed anything as Ward was next to double.

Ward vs Madanzhiev

Last but not least, Craig Timmis raised to 800,000 in the cutoff and was called by Madanzhiev on the button and Mariano Martiradonna in the big blind. Timmis bet the {a-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} flop for 1.6 million and Madanzhiev was the only caller.

After the {7-Hearts} turn, Timmis check-shoved for 11,504,650 and Madanzhiev called after he had invested 3.05 million.

Craig Timmis: {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}
Stoyan Madanzhiev: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}

A blank {8-Clubs} followed on the river as Timmis doubled into the lead.
