Phil Hellmuth
Phil Hellmuth

With blinds at 14,000/28,000/3,500, Darryll "passtheshuga" Fish open-jammed under the gun for 46,765 and Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth came over the top for 200,567 from middle position.

Action on the table folded around to Alex "rip_neiko" Rocha who snap-called from the big blind and all three players tabled their hands.

Alex "rip_neiko" Rocha: {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Darryll "passtheshuga" Fish: {k-Spades}{9-Spades}
Phil "Lumestackin" Hellmuth: {8-Hearts}{8-Spades}

Rocha had both opponents crushed and nothing changed as an ace appeared in the window on the {9-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop.

The {3-Diamonds} turn sealed the pot for Rocha as Hellmuth and Fish were eliminated after the {6-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

Parry was in rough shape but he connected with the {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop giving him a set of jacks.

WSOP Legend: Doyle Brunson's Final Bracelet, 15 Years Later

Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson

At the beginning of the 2005 WSOP, Doyle Brunson remained the co-king of the all-time bracelet count, tied along with Johnny Chan at nine. However, as the series drew toward its close in late June, that was no longer the case — Chan had overtaken him by winning No. 10 to stand atop the mountain alone.

Brunson was already phasing out his tournament play, having cashed precisely zero times that summer and just three times in the previous two combined, although one had resulted in a bracelet victory.

When it came time for Event #31: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed, Brunson dusted off his tournament chops and made a run.

For the a more thorough look on Brunson's historic 10th bracelet win, click the link below.
