The 2020 WSOP Online Event #2: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack 8-Max Kicks Off at 3 p.m. PDT

WSOP.com Bracelet Event
WSOP.com Bracelet Event

Yesterday saw the first bracelet winner of the 2020 Online World Series of Poker crowned, and today another player will walk away a winner as Event #2: $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Deepstack 8-Max is set to get underway at 3:00 p.m. PDT.

The second Online Bracelet event features 15-minute blind levels and the $1,000 buy-in gives players 30,000 chips to play with. The tournament allows players to re-enter two times with each re-entry lasting only 30 seconds, so players will need to make sure they have enough funds in their WSOP.com account before the tournament starts if they plan on re-entering.

Late registration and the re-entry option will be open for the first 3 hours and 55 minutes of play. Tournament tickets are not usable for re-entry. This is a single day event meaning the entire tournament will be played out online and the winner will take home a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

This is the second of 85 bracelet events being held on WSOP.com (31 events – one each day for the month of July) and GG Poker ( holding the remaining 54 events).

The former client will cater to players in Nevada and New Jersey (players in Delaware are NOT able to participate), while the latter will serve the international base.

How To Play

The first step in getting set up to play on WSOP.com is to download the client. You can do so for both mobile (Android and iOS) and desktop (Windows 7 or higher and Mac OS X 10.6.8).

To get the correct version of the client, use the links below:

WSOP.com Bracelet Event Schedule

As previously mentioned, the online bracelet schedule for the Summer Online WSOP is comprised of 31 events running daily throughout July. THEY ARE ALL ONE-DAY EVENTS.

The scheduled WSOP.com events are available in hold'em and Omaha formats. Popular live staples like the BIG 50, MonsterStack and Senior's Event have been moved online.

The marquee tournament is $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em Championship, which takes place on Friday, July 31. All events will kick off at 3 p.m. PDT.

Satellites are running now for as little $1.

Chris Hunichen
Chris Hunichen

Ronald "DirkRaider" Durkel raised to 200 under the fun and Ryan "Adopt_aDogg0" Leng three-bet to 701 from early position. The short-stacked Chris "2fly2die" Hunichen then moved all in for 2,680 from the big blind, both Durkel and Leng called, and the flop came down {5-Spades}{a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}.

Action went check-check between the two active players and the {7-Hearts} peeled off on the turn. Durkel checked and folded when Leng bet 3,111.

Chris "2fly2die" Hunichen: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Ryan "Adopt_aDogg0" Leng: {5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Hunichen was ahead with the overpaid but Leng had an open-ended straight flush draw to go along with his pair of fives. The {5-Clubs} river improved Leng to trips and he claimed the pot while Hunichen immediately rebought into the tournament.

Florida's David "Twizzlers" Prociak Seeking Second Gold Bracelet

Niveau 9 : 200/400, 40 ante
David Prociak
David Prociak

When you talk about grinders, one name that constantly pops up is Florida’s David Prociak, who is playing in today’s tournament under the screen name “Twizzlers.”

He has more than $1.2 million in lifetime earnings dating back to 2015, including a career-best $330,912 for finishing runner-up in the 2015 Rock ‘N’ Roll Poker Open $3,500 Main Event. The following year, he took down the 2016 WSOP Event #60: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better tournament for $156,546 and was also named the Seminole Hardrock 2016 Player of the Year.

Toss in a couple of WSOPC gold ring wins, including a victory in the WSOPC Seminole Hard Rock Tampa Event #7: $1,125 Pot-Limit Omaha 8-Handed earlier this year for $51,400, and Prociak is clearly a forced to be reckoned with.

Prociak, who learned to play the game by watching it on TV, rented an AirBnB in order to grind the online series and was kind enough to send us a photo of him in action.

You can follow him on Twitter @DavidProciakPok.
