River Gives Patterson New Life

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante
Tyler Patterson
Tyler Patterson

The short-stacked Tyler "dumbram" Patterson raised to 200 from the hijack and "Lowgun1212" three-bet to 600 from the small blind. Patterson responded by four-betting all in for 1,098 total and "Lowgun1212" called.

"Lowgun1212": {j-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}
Tyler "dumbram" Patterson: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

It was a flip but Patterson needed to improve to stay alive. The {k-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{k-Clubs} flop was no help, and the {5-Clubs} turn took away some of his outs by giving "Lowgun1212" a club flush draw. Fortunately for Patterson, the {q-Spades} river was just what he was looking for and he shipped the small double.

Lindgren Pays Off Douglas

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante

Action on the table folded around to Champie "kiddchamp" Douglas who raised to 200 on the button and Erica "huckcheevers" Lindgren defended her big blind to see a {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}{10-Clubs} flop.

Lindgren led out for 225 and did the same for 675 once the {4-Diamonds} appeared on the turn. Both bets were called by Douglas and the {7-Spades} completed the board on the river.

Lindgren led out once again for 1,950 and Douglas raised to 5,900. Lindgren called only to muck her hand after seeing Douglas flopped the boat holding {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Donato Doubles Through Wang

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante

Pat "patmoore967" Moore raised to 200 from the hijack and Michael "miw201x" Wang three-bet to 650 from the cutoff. Luke "caravels" Donato then four-bet all in for 1,989 from the button, both blinds folded, and Moore got out of the way. Wang made the call and the hands were turned up.

Michael "miw201x" Wang: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}
Luke "caravels" Donato: {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Donato was ahead with the cowboys and looking to dodge an ace. He managed to do just that as the board ran out a clean {6-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

WSOP Legend: Doyle Brunson's Final Bracelet, 15 Years Later

Niveau 4 : 50/100, 0 ante
Doyle Brunson
Doyle Brunson

At the beginning of the 2005 WSOP, Doyle Brunson remained the co-king of the all-time bracelet count, tied along with Johnny Chan at nine. However, as the series drew toward its close in late June, that was no longer the case — Chan had overtaken him by winning No. 10 to stand atop the mountain alone.

Brunson was already phasing out his tournament play, having cashed precisely zero times that summer and just three times in the previous two combined, although one had resulted in a bracelet victory.

When it came time for Event #31: $5,000 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Handed, Brunson dusted off his tournament chops and made a run.

For the a more thorough look on Brunson's historic 10th bracelet win, click the link below.

Ethans Cracks Aces for Double

Niveau 3 : 40/80, 0 ante
Eric Ethans
Eric Ethans

James "jumbomom" Hundt opened under the gun for 240 and Eric "powwow" Ethans called from the small blind before "DonkeyOG" three-bet to 850 from the big blind.

Both Hundt and Ethans called bringing the three players to the {5-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop. Ethans checked to "DonkeyOG" who continued for 1,320.

Hundt mucked his hand while Ethans raised all in for 13,310 and was called by "DonkeyOG".

"DonkeyOG": {a-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}
Eric "powwow" Ethans: {j-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Ethans was still behind after flopping top pair but the {j-Spades} appeared on the turn giving him top two.

The {6-Clubs} river was of no consequence and it secured Ethans double-up.

Julian "julian" Parmann Looking to Continue WSOP.com Success

Niveau 3 : 40/80, 0 ante
Julian Parmann
Julian Parmann

Originally from Michigan, Julian “Julian” Parmann now resides in Las Vegas with his wife and two young daughters. He’s been a professional poker player for the past 14 years, and according to HendonMob, he has $980,026 in live tournament earnings including a career-best $164,086 for finishing 41st in the 2015 WSOP Main Event.

In regards to the online bracelet events, Parmann has been playing since the start and early on finished 88th in Event #2: $1,000 NLH 8-Handed Deepstack for $1,833. Nine days later, he took 18th in Event #11: $500 NLH Turbo Deepstack 6-Handed for $4,794, and the very next day placed 234th in Event #12: $500 BIG 500 for $983.

Parmann was grinding on the fringe and then hit his stride over a three-day period last week. It started when he finished second in Event #16: $500 NLH Turbo (1,528 entries) for $71,648, ultimately finishing runner-up to Terrell “Heezahustla” Cheatham for $116,204.

In that tournament, Parmann got his last 10 big blinds in holding ace-three suited and was ahead of Cheatham’s ace-deuce. Parmann was primed to either double or chop, but in this particular hand he would actually lose as a deuce appeared on the flop.

The following day, he was back at the final table in Event #17: $777 NLH after navigating a 1,382-entry field to finish in eighth place for $16,833. Amazingly, on Saturday he nearly made three final tables in a row, though he fell a bit short finishing 15th out of 987 entries in Event #18: $1,000 NLH 8-Handed Turbo DeepStack for $7,876.

Parmann is in action today and looking to continue is string of nice scores.
