Plenty of Action Coming in Event #8!

WSOP GGpoker
WSOP GGpoker

Welcome back to Pokernews for our continuing coverage of the 2021 GGpoker WSOP Online Bracelet Events. Today, we have the biggest buy-in event of the series so far, Event #8 $5,000 Six-Handed No Limit Hold'em Championship. With only six players allowed at each table, the action should be fast paced and exciting, so be sure you don't miss out on this one.

This is a two day event, with the first day kicking off shortly at 5 PM GMT. Registration will be available today until the end of Level 15, and all levels today will be 15 minutes long. Play will continue today for 32 levels, or until the final nine is reached, whichever comes first.

Players are starting with 50,000 in chips, or 250 big blinds to start, as the first level is 100/200. Some big names already registered for this event include Rainer Kempe, Bryan Paris, Kevin Martin, and Chris Moorman, but plenty more former bracelet winners and big names will surely be filing in throughout the registration period.

As always, Pokernews will be here until the end of the Day 1 action to bring you all of your updates, so don't go anywhere!

Cooler on the Flop Favors Dvoress

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Daniel Dvoress and Enrico Camosci got all of the latter's chips into the middle after a flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. Camosci held {a-Hearts}{6-Spades} but he was in a world of hurt, as Dvoress had him one upped with {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}. Caomsci would need another six to survive, but the board finished out {8-Hearts} and {4-Spades}.

With that pot, Dvoress is back up to over 100,000.

Big Flip Goes Negreanu's Way

Niveau 6 : 400/800, 100 ante

Daniel Negreanu raised it up to 1,600, and the button made the call. From the big blind, Dicky "FloatingWorld" Tsang three bet squeezed to 9,400. Negreanu didn't take very long to click it back to 18,000, and after the button folded, Tsang five bet shoved for about 55,000 total.

Negreanu made the call for most of his stack holding {a-Spades}{q-Spades}, and he was flipping against the jacks of Tsang. Nergreanu shot out to the lead after the flop of {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts} gave him top two pair, and Tsang wasn't able to catch a jack or running cards to catch up.

King Give Doddapaneni the Chip Lead

Niveau 10 : 1,000/2,000, 250 ante

Fahredin "NeverDieBaby" Mustafov raised to 5,000, and Sriharsha "Upswinger" Doddapaneni reraised to 14,000 next to act. Action folded back around to Mustafov, who put in a four bet to 38,500.

Doddapaneni wasn't going anywhere, as he five bet shoved, and Mustafov made the call with {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} to create a massive pot of nearly 300,000 chips. Doddapaneni had him dominated holding {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}, and the kings would hold on a runout of {j-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, boosting Doddapaneni to nearly 400,000.
