Weintraub Rivers Quads to Eliminate Richards and Another

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Shawn Weintraub
Shawn Weintraub

A player in early position limped and Connor Richards raised to 10,000 on the button. Shawn Weintraub called in the small blind and so did the early position limper.

The flop was {3-Spades}{7-Spades}{j-Spades} and Weintraub led for 11,000, the early position player called and Richards jammed for 27,000. Both of the other players called.

The turn was the {j-Clubs} and the rest of the chips from the early position player went into the pot with Weintraub in as well. With no more action, hands were revealed.

Connor Richards: {k-}{k-}
Early Position Player: {3-}{3-}
Shawn Weintraub: {a-}{j-Hearts}

Richards had cowboys but needed another king to stay alive. Weintraub made trips on the turn but was still behind the turned boat of the early position player.

Weintraub was yelling for the board to pair and walked away from the table, only to hear about the result from the commotion that arose when the {j-Diamonds} spiked the river, giving him quads and eliminating two players. Weintraub was still in shock from his good fortune minutes later when he kept repeating, "I can not believe it."

Lucky Turn Gives Kim Knockout of Yang

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Shortly after taking the pot off Ken Huynh, Bong "Toby" Yang found himself all-in for about 140,000 against Daniel Kim.

According to tablemate Jesse Fullen, Kim and Yang both went all in pre-flop, with Yang showing {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} and Kim {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}. Yang was behind before pairing his ace on a flop of {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs} but that also gave Kim a flush draw.

The turn came the {9-Clubs}, completing the nut flush for Kim and leaving Yang drawing dead and headed to the exit.

Kim moved up to 275,000 following the knockout.

Huynh Makes Tough Fold to Yang

Niveau 14 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Bong "Toby" Yang had a bet of 17,000 from the big blind in front of him on a flop of {6-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Ken Huynh was in early position and went deep into the tank while he pondered making the call.

"Will you show if I fold," he asked Yang.

Huynh eventually folded after several minutes as Yang showed him the {j-Diamonds}.

"Oh no," he said, possibly indicating he may have folded a better hand.

Royal Flush for Leong

Niveau 13 : 2,000/3,000, 3,000 ante

Danny Leong raised to 9,000 from early position and a player in the small blind jammed for 20,000. It folded back to Leong who called.

Danny Leong: {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}
Small Blind Player: {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

The small blind player was in rough shape and needed help, but found the exact opposite of that on the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop. He was already drawing dead when the {j-Clubs} came on the turn just to rub it in more and to give Leong a royal flush.

The meaningless {2-Hearts} completed the board and the small blind player was eliminated but also conceded that if you're going to get knocked out, that's quite a way to do it.
