Aguiar Takes Two Straight Pots

Niveau 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

WSOP bracelet winner Jonathan Aguiar has built up a big stack shortly after the dinner break.

He recently took down two pots in a row. In the first, the table showed him some respect by giving him a walk in the big blind.

On the next hand, Aguiar limped from the small blind and the big blind checked. Both players checked the {10-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} flop before Aguiar led for 1,500 on the {10-Diamonds} turn. His opponent called and they saw a river of {3-Clubs}.

Aguiar led again, this time for 12,000, and the big blind quickly mucked.

Poggio Shows the Bluff

Niveau 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante

A player raised to 3,000 preflop and got three callers including Robert Poggio, who works at Rounders in San Antonio.

The flop was {4-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} and all players checked around.

The turn came the {2-Diamonds} and Poggio fired out a bet of 2,500 which got one call.

The {3-Hearts} completed the board and Poggio put out another bet, this time for 6,000. His opponent thought about it and decided to lay down his hand, prompting Poggio to show the table the {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for jack-high as he took in the chips.

Kim Picks Up Aces to Double Through Clifford

Niveau 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Daniel Kim opened to 3,500 from the button before Michael Clifford jammed for 24,500 total from the small blind. Kim called and the players revealed their cards:

Kim - {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}
Clifford - {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts}

Kim was in good position to double, while Clifford was looking for a miracle to score the knockout. Clifford picked up a gutshot straight draw when the board came {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Spades} {q-Hearts}, but he paired his jack on the {j-Clubs} river which wasn't good enough.
