The penultimate day of Event #13: $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em has wrapped up with Brandon Caputo bagging the overnight chip lead with 7,280,000.

Caputo began the 10-handed unofficial final table in seventh chip position before scoring a huge double-up against Andrew Jeong near the end of the night. Caputo, who has 22 career WSOP cashes, will be seeking his first bracelet.

Right behind him on the leaderboard sits a player who's no stranger to closing out WSOP events. Michael Gathy takes 6,700,000 into the final day after knocking out Jeong to close out the night. Gathy already has four WSOP bracelets, all of them won in No-Limit Hold'em events since 2012.

Action of the Day

Play began at 11 a.m. PST with 108 players remaining out of a starting field of 720. As the day wore on, several notables found their way to the payout cage, including Faraz Jaka (105th), Ben Yu (82nd), Darren Elias (68th), Christian Harder (33rd), Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (32nd), and Niall Farrell (12th). Maria Konnikova, the last woman standing in the field, fell in 25th place.

The seven remaining players will return at Noon PST tomorrow to play down to a champion. On the line is $371,914 and, of course, the coveted WSOP bracelet, a dream all of these players except Gathy have never realized. The final table will be streamed live from the Mothership in the Amazon Room on PokerGo.

As always, PokerNews will be live providing updates and chip counts throughout the day until a new WSOP bracelet winner is crowned.
