Day 1 of Event #13: $3,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold'em has come to an end with all 108 surviving players in the money after Silvio Costa burst the bubble.
Leading the way is Andrew Jeong with 1,003,000. He's followed on the leaderboard by Antony Darmani (888,000), Brandon Caputo (883,000), Landen Lucas (753,000), and Yo-Hwan "BoxeR" Lim (720,000), a former professional StarCraft player.

The tournament attracted a field of 720 players, generating a prize pool of $1,922,400. Plenty of notables took to the felt when play began at 11 a.m. PST. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier (335,000), Christian Harder (293,000), and Darren Elias (205,000) will all return to play tomorrow. Psychologist turned poker aficionado Maria Konnikova doubled up with quad nines towards the end of the day and finished with 408,000. A full list of chip counts and seating assignments will be released shortly.
Not everyone was fortunate to make the money. David Peters, Stephen Chidwick, Shaun Deeb, Daniel Negreanu, and Erik Seidel all entered the field but busted before the end of the day.
The 108 players who will contend for the coveted WSOP bracelet return on Thursday at noon PST in the Amazon Room. The schedule calls for ten 60-minute levels.
