Day 4 of Event #17: $1,500 Millionaire Maker saw 20 players start the day and only five players make it to the fifth and final day. Tomorrow, Oct. 13, action will resume at 4 p.m. local time, and although the five remaining players have locked up $222,430, they will all be looking to win the WSOP gold bracelet and the $1,000,000 first-place prize that awaits one of them.

Daniel Lazrus, who won his first bracelet earlier this year, will be looking for his second as he bagged 60,200,000 chips and is the chip leader going into the final day of play with almost two times the amount of chips as the second biggest bagged stack of Ignacio Moron (30,600,000).

Four-time bracelet winner Michael Gathy (21,900,000) will be looking for another bracelet, while Jeffrey Gencarelli (13,500,000) and Darryl Ronconi (7,400,000) will also have a shot at gold.

Kevin Palmer Eliminated in 6th Place ($172,455)

Niveau 36 : 300,000/600,000, 600,000 ante
Kevin Palmer
Kevin Palmer

Kevin Palmer jammed in his remaining 3.3 million from the cutoff and Michael Gathy raised in the small blind to 6 million. Daniel Lazrus thought about his decision in the big blind but ultimately folded.

Kevin Palmer: {10-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Michael Gathy: {a-Spades}{8-Hearts}

Gathy had a dominating hand and Palmer needed some help. The dealer spread the {5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{3-Spades} flop. The {2-Diamonds} came on the turn to gave Gathy a wheel but Palmer was still live to win the hand with a flush draw. Palmer's rail was pleading for a diamond, but the board completed with the {q-Hearts}.

Palmer will receive $172,455 for his deep run and the remaining five players will return tomorrow as they play down to a winner.

Todd Saffron Eliminated in 7th Place ($124,570)

Niveau 35 : 250,000/500,000, 500,000 ante

Todd Saffron jammed in his stack of 5 million from early position and Michael Gathy called in the hijack.

Todd Saffron: {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Michael Gathy: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Saffron was looking for help and found some with a flush on the {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop. However, the hand wasn't over and his flopped flush turned into a drawing dead hand as the {2-Clubs} spiked the turn to give Gathy a better flush. The meaningless {k-Hearts} completed the board and Saffron was eliminated.
