The first-ever Event #20: $1,000 FLIP and GO No-Limit Hold'em Day 1 has come to a conclusion. This event had a total of 155 players advance from their original $1,000 buy-in tables. Each player who made Day 1 had to win a flip against their entire table and were guaranteed a payout of $2,000 once they made it.

Three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner David Peters has managed to find a bag and will head to Day 2 with 1,105,000 in chips. Leading the pack is Huy Lam with an impressive lead of 3,150,000. Following Lam are Corey Bierria (1,880,000), and in third-place is Krista Farrell (1,700,000).

After 12 levels of play, only 23 players remain and will be restarting at 1:00 p.m. Each player has a payout of $7,275 locked up but will be battling for the first-place prize of $180,665 and a WSOP Gold Bracelet.

Not all were lucky enough to find a bag at the end of the day, however, as luminaries such as Daniel Negreanu, Shaun Deeb, Gal Yifrach, and Kevin Eyster ran deep but fell short in the end.

Play will resume at 1:00 p.m. in level 13 with blinds at 20,000/40,000 and a 40,000 big blind ante. Be sure to follow PokerNews all day for the exciting action of this special GGPoker event!

Rafa Ruiz Eliminated in 24th Place ($7,275)

Niveau 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

On a board reading {a-Hearts}{10-Spades}{3-Hearts}{a-Spades}, Fred Goldberg bet 80,000 and Rafa Ruiz called before Huy Lam raised to 280,000. Goldberg quickly got out of the way before Ruiz announced all in. Lam stood up and exclaimed, "Ah, I shouldn't have played this hand!"

Lam asked for a total chip count and after finding out it was 575,000 total he made the call.

Rafa Ruiz: {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Huy Lam: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

Unfortunately for Ruiz, he was drawing dead when he ran into Lam's trip aces. The {10-Clubs} came on the river giving both players a full house but Ruiz was eliminated by Lam's aces full. Ruiz finished in 24th place for $7,275.

In a three-way all-in before the flop Jake Schwartz was the shortest stack with 240,000, Alex Epstein was second shortest with about 600,000 in chips and Koveh Waysei had both of them covered.

Jake Schwartz: {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Alex Epstein: {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}

"Sorry in Advance"

Niveau 12 : 15,000/30,000, 30,000 ante

All of the chips went in the middle before the flop and Mark Ingram had his opponent at risk for about 220,000 chips. "Sorry in advance, I am for sure winning this hand," Ingram said as the cards were tabled.

Opponent: {q-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}
Mark Ingram: {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Ingram was going to need a lot of help to make his words true and the flop gave some life when it came {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}, flopping him a pair. The turn was the {10-Spades}, giving him trip tens and taking the lead in the hand. The board completed with the {a-Diamonds} on the river and Ingram raked in the pot while his opponent walked to the payout desk.
