A Few Counts

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Baum Sends Zufic to the Payout Desk

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Ivan Zufic started the preflop action with a raise on the button. Nathan Baum three-bet from the big blind, Zufic four-bet and Baum capped it with a five-bet. The flop came {q-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Baum led out. Zufic stuck in the last of his 7,000 chips and the cards were tabled.

Ivan Zufic: {j-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Nathan Baum: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Baum was ahead with a pair of sevens and the {5-Clubs} on the turn left it that way. The {2-Hearts} on the river also changed nothing which eliminated Zufic.

The {4-Hearts} river saw another bet and a call and Rand showed {k-Hearts}{8-Clubs} to win the pot.

Ray Henson
Ray Henson

Kalyan Chivukula raised from the cutoff and Ray Henson three-bet on the button. Kosei Ichinose four-bet from the big blind and Chivukula capped the action. Both Henson and Ichinose called to see the flop of {6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}.

Ichinose checked to Chivukula who threw in a bet. Henson went all in for 13,000 and was called in both spots.

The {6-Hearts} landed on the turn and Ichinose check-called a bet from Chivukula along with the {4-Spades} on the river. Chivukula turned over {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} and Ichinose showed {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to win the side pot.

Henson flipped over {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} to take down the main pot and score a full triple up.

Liu Sent to the Rail

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

JJ Liu had barely any chips left and got the rest of her short stack in as the big blind against Christopher Chung in the cutoff.

JJ Liu: {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Christopher Chung: {k-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}

Liu had live cards and turned a straight draw and live flush draw on the {j-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} runout, but ultimately found no help and was sent out of the tournament after cashing.

Lonis Makes a Flush, McKeehen Out

Niveau 17 : 5,000/10,000, 0 ante

Kevin Rand raised from under the gun and Jesse Lonis called from the small blind. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} and Lonis checked to Rand who threw in a bet. Lonis check-raised, Rand three-bet and Lonis just called.

The turn was the {j-Clubs} and both players checked to the {3-Spades} on the river. Lonis tossed in a bet and Rand quickly called. Lonis flipped over {a-Clubs}{2-Clubs} for the nut-flush and Rand conceded.

At the table beside, Joe McKeehen was left on the short stack from the previous orbit. He clashed again with Kalyan Chivukula in the blinds and McKeehen came out on the short end of the stick once again as he walked to the payout desk.
