Chris Wa was collecting a double up with his {a-Clubs}{j-Spades} showing on a board that ran out {4-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{q-Hearts}.

Robert Sun was the one who was surrendering a large porting of his stack across the table as his losing hand was turned over to create a switch in chip stacks between Wa and Sun.

Lyons Stays Around

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Pat Lyons
Pat Lyons

Carlo Darelli raised to 255,000 from under the gun and Pat Lyons defended from the big blind. Lyons led out for around 300,000 on the {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} flop before Darelli raised to 900,000.

Lyons called, then shoved on the {k-Diamonds} turn. Darelli called with {a-}{q-}, but Lyons had made a full house with {4-Hearts}{4-Clubs}. Left needing an ace or a king or a higher full house, Darelli instead bricked the {8-Spades} river.

Darelli and Lyons had formed quite a friendship at this table. "If I had to give it to somebody," Darelli said.

Zidd Commits Regicide on Turn

Niveau 28 : 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante

Edward Zidd was all in and at risk preflop on the direct left of the under the gun Paul Nguyen.

Edward Zidd: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Paul Nguyen: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The flop was safe for Nguyen as it came {5-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{9-Diamonds}. The turn was not so safe as the {q-Spades} came off much to Nguyen's chagrin.

The river was the {8-Clubs} and Zidd's queens did the trick to keep him alive and leave Nguyen with just a handful of big blinds.
