In the final hand before the break, Hector Salgado was eliminated by James Woods. The remaining chips of Salgado went in after the {q-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop and Woods snap-called.

Hector Salgado: {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
James Woods: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}

The {j-Hearts} turn gave Salgado outs but the {5-Diamonds} river spelled the end for him in 27th place.

Joshua Rhodes: {a-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} / {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} / {q-Hearts}

Naoya Kihara was already at risk when a small crowd gathered around the table and he faced Joshua Rhodes in showdown. Kihara had started with jacks in the hole while Rhodes had split aces. Kihara made two pair on fourth and Rhodes then regained the lead on fith with a set of aces. Kihara struck back on sixth with a full house.

"I gonna need a seventh street," Rhodes joked to the dealer and sure enough spiked the queen for a superior full house.

Phan Breaks a Nine and Doubles

Niveau 18

2-7 Triple Draw

Prior to the final draw, Young Phan was all-in for 44,500 total and he was looked up by Joshua Rhodes. It was Rhodes who patted and Phan tanked before discarding one and revealing a {9-}. Rhodes tabled the {8-}{6-}{5-}{3-}{2-} for an eighty-six and Phan then showed his {6-}{4-}{3-}{2-}. He indeed spiked the {7-} to double.

The action was discovered on sixth street with Holder all-in and at-risk versus Tutu.

The dealer dealt seventh street face down to each player and it was the ace-high spade flush held by Tutu that bested the pair of queens held by Holder, and the latter was eliminated.

Fuchs Among the Recent Eliminations

Niveau 18
Carol Fuchs
Carol Fuchs

No-Limit Hold'em

Three notables were among the recent casualties as the field has already reached the final five tables.

Carol Fuchs was among them after she shoved over the top of a reraise to 52,000 by Kenny Hsiung in the small blind. It was 144,000 on top to call for Hsiung and he did so after long consideration.

Carol Fuchs: {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Kenny Hsiung: {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}

The inferior ace got there on the {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board and that spelled the end for Fuchs in 32nd place. She wished Frankie O'Dell good luck but he departed shortly after in a 2-7 Triple Draw hand to bust in 30th place.
