Isbell Getting Involved Early

Niveau 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

The action in the super seniors has a reputation for getting off to a slow start, but Bill Isbell is getting involved early; here's a couple of hands captured.

Hand #1:

The pot was already over 4,000 in chips, the flop was {q-Spades}{4-Spades}{8-Clubs}, and the button bet 2,000, which Isbell and another player called.

The turn {9-Diamonds} was checked through, and the river {2-Spades} was also checked through. Isbell showed the third pair with {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to scoop the pot.

Hand #2:

The button raised to 600, and Isbell called from the small blind, and it was checked down to the river {3-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, and his opponent showed {k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.

Isbell showed he wasn't afraid to call a raise with {q-Clubs}{3-Spades} to take it down with the worst pair on the board.
