Perry Friedman just scooped a pot with some well-timed seventh street aggression against his opponent Michael Rosenberg.
With their boards reading,
Perry Friedman: //
Michael Rosenberg: //
Friedman bet seventh street and Rosenberg needed time to think. Eventually, he folded, and Friedman told him he has started with 'ABC' (an ace and a deuce along with his door card three) but did not have a winning high hand.
Regardless, Friedman scooped the pot and is off to a great start to the day.
Esther Taylor: //
David Martin: //
Peter Brownstein: //
David Martin bet on fifth street and was called by Esther Taylor and Peter Brownstein. Taylor led out on sixth and was called by both opponents.
Taylor bet again on seventh and this time Martin came in for a raise. Brownstein quickly folded, but Taylor went into the tank for about two minutes before putting in the chips.
"Good call, I just have the low," Martin said, turning over for 7-6-4-2-A. Taylor had for two pair, eights and fours, to win the high.
"I just wanted to put some pressure on you. You passed," Martin told her after the hand.
Ryan Leng bet on fifth street and was called by both Carol Fuchs and Matthew Schultz. All three players checked to seventh, when they each put in another bet.
"Kings up," Fuchs announced, turning over for two pair, kings and eights. Leng flashed two queens before he mucked, as did Schultz.
John Yu, Joe Ranciato, and David Tuthill went three-ways to fifth street when Yu bet and both players called. They all checked to seventh, when Yu put out another bet.
Only Tuthill called and Yu turned over for a flush. Tuthill mucked as Yu chipped up early.
