Scott Hall Eliminated in 9th Place ($28,585)

Niveau 34 : 200,000/400,000, 400,000 ante
Scott Hall
Scott Hall

Paulo Joanello opened to 625,000 in middle position and was called by Roongsak Griffeth in the cutoff. Scott Hall three-bet shoved all in for around 1,900,000 in the big blind. Joanello re-shoved all in and Griffeth quickly folded.

Scott Hall: {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Paulo Joanello: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {k-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} to give Joanello a set of kings. The {2-Diamonds} on the turn left Hall drawing dead to the {q-Hearts} on the river.

Big Blind Special For Price

Toby Price

Scott Hall raised to 600,000 from under the gun and received calls from David Morel in middle position and Toby Price in the big blind. The flop came {4-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts} and Price checked to Hall, who continued with a bet of 565,000.

Morel called, as did Price to see the {q-Clubs} on the turn. Hall bet another 1,155,000 and this time Morel folded. Price, though, raised to 2,400,000 and Hall called.

The river came the {7-Diamonds} and Price led out with 3,300,000. Hall took his time, counting out his chips before sliding them forward. Price turned over {9-Spades}{4-Clubs} for trip fours and Hall mucked.

After the hand, Hall accused Price of slow-rolling him by not showing his four right away. "I would never slow-roll anyone," Price countered as he raked in the massive pot that lasted more than 10 minutes.

One and Done for Price

Niveau 33 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante

Roongsak Griffeth opened to 600,000 in early position and was called by Toby Price on his left. The flop came {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts} and Griffeth checked to Price who bet 700,000. Griffeth called and the {5-Hearts} landed on the turn.

Griffeth checked again and Price checked it back this time. The {6-Diamonds} completed the board and both players knuckled the table. Griffeth showed {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and Price sent his cards to the muck.

On the first hand of the final table, John Gorsuch got all of his 3,600,000 chips in the middle against Roongsak Griffeth.

John Gorsuch: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}
Roongsak Griffeth: {3-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Gorsuch picked up a straight draw heading to the river on a board of {2-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}, but missed all of his outs on the {j-Spades} river and let out a loud expletive as he hit the rail in 10th place.

Master of Ceremonies Vince Vaughn Suffers Bad Beat in His First WSOP Tournament

Vince Vaughn
Vince Vaughn

Hollywood actor Vince Vaughn, the star of Swingers, Old School, Wedding Crashers, and Dodgeball, was recently announced as the "Master of Ceremonies" for the 2022 World Series of Poker (WSOP).

Yesterday, he gave the traditional "shuffle up and deal" announcement at the final table of the WSOP Main Event, and on Wednesday he returned for several other promotional endeavors. Once finished, he took the opportunity to enter his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet tournament, Event #79: $1,979 Poker Hall of Fame Bounty where every Poker Hall of Famer had a bounty on their head.

While not a member of the PHoF, Vaughn, too, had a target on his back as Jack Effel revealed the WSOP was putting a $10,000 bounty on the actor, much to the delight of players sat with him at Table 2 in the Brasilia Room.

How did he do? Find out here!

Elio Fox opened to 480,000 in the cutoff and Yulian Bogdanov shipped all in for around 1,600,000 in the small blind. Paulo Joanello re-shoved all in from the big blind which got Fox to fold.

Yulian Bogdanov: {k-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Paulo Joanello: {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}

The flop came {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Spades} and Joanello still held the lead with his ace-high. The {3-Hearts} on the turn and the {9-Clubs} on the river provided no help to Bogdanov who was sent home in 11th place.

Price Wins a Monster Pot from Hall

Niveau 32 : 120,000/240,000, 240,000 ante

Toby Price opened to 600,000 from under the gun and Scott Hall defended from the big blind. The flop fell {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Hall checked to Price who continued with a bet of 700,000. Hall check-raised to 2,300,000 but Price still called.

The turn brought the {5-Spades} and Hall thought for a minute before pushing out a bet of 2,200,000. Price announced all in for around 8,000,000 and Hall quickly dumped his cards into the muck.
