Daniel Negreanu opened the action in the first hand of the event, putting in a raise to 500 from the cutoff. Both the small and big blind called.
"Let's make sure nobody goes broke on the first hand," Negreanu said as the dealer spread the 
flop. Both blinds check-folded to Negreanu's 1,000 bet.
"Who says you can't win them all, because I can. I'm 1-0," Negreanu said as he dragged in the first pot.
"Chip leader," a tablemate said.
