Smith Cracks Blumstein's Aces, It Could Have Been Worse

Niveau 2 : 200/300, 300 ante
Scott Blumstein
Scott Blumstein

Rex Smith limped from under the gun. The action folded to Scott Blumstein in the cutoff who raised it up to 1,300. It folded back around to Smith and he four-bet to 3,800.

Blumstein opted to just call going to a flop that read {10-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades}. Smith lead with a bet of 5,500 and Blumstein quickly called.

The action checked through the {k-Clubs} turn.

The {k-Diamonds} came on the river pairing the board. Smith checked and thought that he saw Blumstein check so he tabled his hand which was the {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Smith turned his hand back over when he realized that Blumstein had not acted.

Blumstein was tickled by what had happened and said, "I check" as he tabled pocket aces.

Smith took down the pot with trip kings having saved Blumstien from committing more chips to the pot by acting out of turn.
